stripped
I guess you wouldn't know if someone had depression,
Or still has it.
It could be your teacher at school,
Your mom,
Your aunt,
Or your best friend.
There are signs.
But most people dismiss them as,
Introverted or anti social.
Something that some people have.
I guess you couldn't look at someone and see hurt in their eyes.
When they cancel plans because they are simply to tired to function,
Or maybe they tried to open up to you,
But you were to busy to answer.
Maybe you did find out, but only because
You saw them naked on the floor,
All hope left their eyes,
Their breaths slower then when you first saw them,
Completely stripped, vulnerable.
Maybe you'll save them,
Maybe you won't.
But either way you are too late.
Too late to tame the beast.
Because it's their turn to fight it,
But they've become weak,
Terrified.
Thinking they could do it on their own,
But now you know they can't.
Why would they.
