I watch as Max walks down the school hallways. I press myself against the wall, a smile growing on my face. "Max Evans has put a force on me. It's like my whole life changed in an instant. It's just so ironic that when something like this finally happened to me, it was with an alien."

Max and I became closer in a way now that we know the truth about everything. Small moments in class causing my heart to race. I was in the band room, my thoughts filled with Max Evens as I searched for my bookbag. "Hey."

"Oh, hey Alex. Have you seen my bookbag anywhere?" I ask as I continue to look around for it.

"No, I haven't. Can I talk to you for a second?" He answers then asks a question back at me as we begin to walk towards each other.

"Yea, what's up??"

"Well, I'm your friend, and I'm Maria's friend too, so if you lie to Maria, it's sort of like lying to me." Alex went on, nervously fidgeting his fingers causing my eyebrows to furrow. "Alex, what did Maria say to you?"

"Well, frankly it's vague. I mean, everything needs to be put through the Maria filter. But, she said something about how she found blood on your order book. What's going on?" Alex responded causing me to let out a small sigh.

"Alex, Maria is a total drama queen. You know that. Nothing is going on." I dismiss with a shake of my head.

"O-ok, well look. All I care about is that you're OK. So you're you are right, you're okay?" Alex questions worriedly.

"I'm OK."

"All right."

"Okay."

"And whatever happened is ... over now??" Alex continues to press.

"It is totally over." I nod in agreement, wanting to put him at ease and move on from this subject.

"Okay."

"Okay."

As Alex made is way out of the band room, the sheriff and principle walk-in causing a wave of panic to course through my body. "There she is."

"Ms. Parker, the Sheriff needs to ask you some questions."
