Chapter 4

-Desire-
A strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.

Waterfall

None of them were able to sleep again that night. Morning approached and, luck was on their side(for now); the dark realm they've been sucked in was now filling with light as the sun rose beautifully over the sea.
All of them met up on the main deck in order to eat breakfast and discuss their next move. It was clear to each one of them that the other two also had a rough night but none of them would talk about it.

**Alright! It's clear that this place is messing with our minds. We need to find a way out of here.**  Uma stated.
**No** I said as both of them looked at me waiting to hear the reason why I'd want to spend another minute in this place. **Before we were sucked into this rift I could feel my magic getting stronger and Uma, I know you felt it too. Even in the cave-** Harry and I made eye contact and stared at each other until I spoke again. **My magic was getting stronger and stronger. It has to do with this place. Something wanted us here-**
**Or someone..** Uma spoke recalling her dream..
**There's something about this place. I can feel it. Give me one day to explore the area and if we don't find anything, then, I promise you, we'll get out of here!**
They both agreed and so, after the breakfast, we crossed the bridge once again. We went past the Cave of Two Lovers and kept walking until we came across a waterfall. The surroundings were beautiful.
**How about we take a swim?** Uma suggested.
**No!** I half-yelled recalling my drowning dream, which scared both of them.
**What's wrong?** Harry asked. I could see he was worried.
**I was thinking that we could use some time to relax. The water's good for a swim.**
**Uma's right..we all need this.**
Uma and Harry are right..
**Alright.** And so we took off our clothes, leaving us in our underwear as all three of us dove straight into the water.
An hour passed and we were indeed having fun. For a while, I forgot where we were, but I soon remembered as I saw the figure again near the waterfall. I couldn't lose him again so I told Harry and Uma that the he was back and that I was after him. When he saw me approaching he entered the waterfall. A secret tunnel? Of course! That's how he escaped the day before. I entered the tunnel after him and ran. I chased after him until I caught him. Or...her? I took off her cloak so that I could see her face. She had gorgeous blue eyes(they reminded me of Harry's), medium-dark skin and pure white locks of hair. She has a tattoo on her left cheek, right under her eye. It was the same glowing blue colour as her eyes and necklace.
**I knew you would find me, Maleficent.** She smiled at me. I helped her up. **You wanted us here. Why? And, do you know me?** **Your name is a legend for my people. We have waited for you for a long time, and now you're finally here, along with your friends.** She pointed towards Harry and Uma who have just reached us. They were just as confused as me. The girl understood the confusion and presented herself. **My name is Kida. You are halfway your journey, dear friends.**
**Hold on. How can we trust you? You know us but we don't know who you are. You're the one who brought us here?** Uma was right to be suspicious of her.
**Yes. I have brought you here. I know what you're seeking. You can have that, but only if you agree to do everything that I say. It won't be easy. You will all be tested and in order to get something, you have to be willing to give something in exchange.**
**I accept.** I said.
**Mal, we have to think about this first.**
**Your friend is right, Mal. In order to continue, all three of you must come to an agreement. You can return to your ship and make your decision. If you decide to continue, meet me at the waterfalls at sunset.** With that, Kida left and we returned to the ship.
It took me an hour to convince Uma and Harry that we should accept. I saw something in Kida that reminded me of myself. I trust her. We still had a few hours until sunset so Uma stayed in her room, preparing, while Harry stayed chatting with the crew. I made my way on the land watching the ship from near the stone bridge.
**Hey** Kida saluted me.
**Oh..hey! What are you doing here? We were supposed to meet up at the waterfall in a few hours.**
**I know. I wanted to talk to you..** She gave me a notebook. Its cover was brown and blue and the corners were covered with gold plates.
**I know that you have made up your mind. You want to find Atlantis. This notebook may help you. It belongs to a friend of mine who wrote everything about his journey to The Lost City.**
**Wait..he found it?** I was right..Atlantis is real.
**Indeed he found it. But I have to warn you, Mal. I know what you're seeking. I know what you desire. Your friendships will be tested. You must learn to make sacrifices. Atlantis has fallen because one wasn't willing to sacrifice his desire.**
**Are you talking about my dream? How can you know what I'm seeking?**
**I know what each one of you is seeking and what you desire. History is repeating itself. We'll meet again at sunset. That's when your trial begins, Mal.**
I returned to the ship and rested on my bed. I knew I had to save my energy for what's about to come.
