Tension in the air

The rescued hybrids crowd the van's windows as the vehicle comes to a stop, each trying to get a closer look at the supposed 'safe place', their silently scanning their new surroundings for any threats, only to find the parking garage empty.

"Here we are!" Hoseok announces loudly, startling a few hybrids who snap their heads in the direction of his voice, some letting out a small growl at his sudden outburst. "S-sorry." He mumbles slouching on his seat, his hands removing the keys from the ignition.

After taking a quick glance at the hybrids through the rear view mirror, Hoseok pushes a button and the door of the van slowly slides to the side making a few of them step back.

The hybrids eyes stare at the open door with a weary look on their faces, not moving a muscle until Yoongi takes the first step, the rest following his lead as he exits the van, their eyes glancing back at the van every once in a while as they walk farther and farther away.

A few hybrids jump at the sound of a door opening, the tension fading a little as two hybrids approach the group, their smiles warm and welcoming, and the hybrids immediately recognize the missing boy.

"Jungkook?" One of them hesitantly calls out, taking a step towards the young hybrid.

"H-hi hyung." Jungkook replies with a small wave of his hand, jumping slightly when the eldest embraces him in a hug, not caring about keeping his cold demeanor up in front of the others.

"I'm so glad you're safe." Yoongi says pulling apart to examine the boy, offering him a small smile which Jungkook returns, but his smile slightly falls when Jungkook's gaze falls on Taehyung, his eyes widening as he rushes to him.

"H-hyung, are you okay? did you get caught?" Jungkook asks and Taehyung quietly nods his head, wiping his nose with his sleeve.

Without saying another word, Jungkook pulls Taehyung into a hug, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of the detectives but they are nowhere in sight.

"Hyung, where are hyung and noona?"

"I don't know." Taehyung says looking around. "They didn't get in the van with us."

Before Taehyung can explain further, Jin calls out for everyone's attention, guiding everyone inside once all eyes are on him. "Is thus everyone?" He asks and Hoseok and Jisoo respond with nod.

"Okay." Jin says clasping his hands together as the hybrid's gazes fall on him. "My name is Jin and I'm a medic here." He starts, swallowing hard when he receives nothing but silence. "We, um, made some sandwiches for you if you're hungry, and then afterwards we prepared some clean clothes for you and a hot shower, feel free to choose whatever you like and explore the place." He adds awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck as he steps to the side to give the hybrids space to explore.
