Obadiah Stane had done it. He took the arc reactor directly from the chest of the Iron-Man. But he did not care for he had come one step closer to becoming the most powerful man in the world and when Tony Stark dies the company would fall back into his hands.

Tony dropped from the seat where Obadiah had left him to die and slowly, agonizingly dragged his half dead body to the elevator. As soon as the doors opened he pulled himself to his feet and leaned against the wall. "J-Jarvis...down," was all Tony could get out of his mouth, the pain in his chest getting worse by the second. "Yes sir, also Miss Potts and Colonel Rhodes are on their way with SHIELD agents to apprehend Mr Stane. I have sent footage of the attack against you to SHIELD sir as per the security protocol," replied Jarvis loyally.

The elevator lowered itself to the garage floor, as soon as the doors opened Tony staggered forwards, his eyes immediately found the Mark 1 arc reactor that Pepper had saved for him. Thank God for Pepper Potts sentimentality thought Tony as he staggered to the table only to collapse due to the sheer amount of pain coursing through his body. His head was light, his vision was blurred. He couldn't make head nor tails of what was going on. But he could feel, he could feel the gentle hands lifting his head onto their lap. Hear the smashing of glass, hear the soft tones of a gentle voice; he couldn't make out their words, but it comforted him. He could feel the arc reactor being inserted into his chest, and then...the pain was gone. His vision began to clear and he began to become aware of his surroundings.

There was a red headed woman looking down at him with a concerned look in her eyes, who was she? He took note of how beautiful she was. Her eyes were captivating. But soon she spoke and for the first time he properly heard her voice. "Stark, are you okay?" she asked. Tony slowly nodded still not having the energy to even speak. "I am Natasha Romonoff, I am an agent of SHIELD. You're safe now okay?" said Natasha with a gentle voice. But a terrible thought came to him. Rhodes and Pepper, they were heading for Stane. He had a suit of armor too! They would die if they tried to stop him.

Tony tried to sit up but Natasha held her hand onto his shoulder, "Stark you need to lay here, you're not well. I have a medical team on their way to assess you." Tony shook his head, "Need... to...stop...Stane." Natasha gave him a strange look, "Stark, there are six agents on their way to arrest him, you are safe." Tony gave Natasha a look that made her shiver a little, "That's not enough agents."

Tony got up and staggered to the platform in the middle of his workshop. "Mr Stark, what the hell are you doing you can't just get into a car and go after Stane. You're a civilian!" said Natasha with slight anger in her voice. Tony didn't speak to her but addressed Jarvis, "The Mark 4 suit Jarvis make it snappy."

Natasha was about to ask what the hell he was talking about when the platform Tony was standing on began to move, she stood back in a rare moment of awe and watched as a red and gold suit of armor encased the billionaire. Tony turned and looked at Natasha with his face plate up, "Thanks Romanoff, but I need to take care of Stane personally." The face plate closed and he turned blasting a car out of his way and flew out through a hole in the roof leaving a dumbfounded Black Widow in his wake.

"What the fuck just happened?" she asked herself.

She did the only thing she could think of and called the director of SHIELD himself, Nicholas Fury. The phone rang a few times before he finally answered.

"Romanoff you better have a good reason to be calling me right now, I am currently in the middle of India trying to find Doctor Banner!" yelled a voice down the phone. Natasha took a deep breath, "Sir this is important. It's about Tony Stark." Natasha could hear the man's curiosity through the phone, "What about him?"

"Remember when he was taken captive by the Ten Rings terrorist organization?" asked Natasha cautiously. "Yeah, we still don't know how he escaped them and managed to get a good ten miles away from where they had held him," said Fury slightly puzzled. "Yeah well I think I just discovered how he escaped. He has built a suit of armor Nick, one that honestly could be potentially the most powerful weapon known to man kind."
