"Where are you, little fish?" The Leadhead Splicer called out, trying to find out where I was. I was raiding a warehouse used by some of the remnants of Fontaine's supporters. After I killed him, I had given Tenenbaum and the Little Sisters I had already saved a submarine that could go to the surface. I chose to stay behind here in Rapture in order to keep saving the Sisters, and to keep being the lone good man in Rapture. However, it seemed that the remaining supporters of Fontaine, which were just Splicers he had bought out with ADAM or controlled with pheromones like Ryan did, still wanted to fight and try to avenge him. Henceforth, I now had another goal in Rapture, apart from helping out the remaining Little Sisters, which was to eliminate the rest of Fontaine's supporters and allies. Then, I had a plan to find another surface-capable sub, and join Tenenbaum on the surface. I was standing against a pillar in the warehouse, out of sight of the four Splicers looking for me. "Aw, he must of ran! I hope he comes back." One of the four, a Nitro Splicer, told the others, with them muttering in agreement, and they began to walk away from where I was. I loaded my grenade launcher with Heat-Seeking RPGs, made sure I had enough EVE in my system to use my Plasmids, and stepped around the pillar, starting my ambush on the Splicers. I shot a RPG at the Spider Splicer that was on the ceiling, and use my currently equipped Plasmid, Insect Swarm, on the rest of the Splicers. The RPG hit the Spider Splicer, killing him instantly, and I pulled out my shotgun, loaded with Explosive Buck shells, while the remaining three Splicers panicked and swatted at the insects attacking them. I shot at the Thuggish Splicer, hitting him square in the chest. His body went backwards a bit, stopping when it hit the Leadhead Splicer, knocking him over. Meanwhile, the Nitro Splicer had forced the bees to leave him alone by swatting at them enough, and had laid his eyes on me. "He's here! The fish is back!" He screamed, reaching into his explosives box to grab a grenade to throw at me. He lobbed it at me, but his throw ended up being a bit short. I grabbed the grenade using Telekinesis, and hurled it at the Leadhead Splicer, blowing him up. I then dodged another grenade that had been thrown by the Nitro Splicer, and froze him using Winter Blast. I ran over to him, wrench in hand, and shattered him, finishing the fight. I panted a bit, and looked at the crates around me, trying to find the ones that held the essentials, like food, medicine, EVE, and ammo. I found a couple of boxes filled with canned food, and I filled half of my bag with the food. I also found some boxes that held first aid kits, EVE hypos, and ammo, which I filled the other part of my bag with. I happened to notice an arc of scuff marks on the floor, and walked over to investigate them. They seemed to arc out from the wall near a couple of large crates, as if there was a door there. After I looked around nearby, I found a small red button on the back of one of the large crates. Pushing the button, a hidden panel opened in the wall, which led to a corridor. I entered the hallway, and started making my way down the path it took, with machine gun ready in my hands. It led into a medium sized room, that had a one way mirror, which looked into another room. In the other room, there was a person sitting at a table, with their back to the mirror. I looked down at the instrument panel in front of the mirror, and saw a button that was labelled "Unlock". Figuring it meant that the door to the other room would open I pushed it, and learned I was right when I heard the door make a clicking noise to indicate it was unlocked. The man in the room heard it as well, as he looked at the door and shook his head, as if he was saddened that the door was opening. I walked over to the door, machine gun in one hand at my side, and opened it. I walked partly in the room, and the man stood up, turned towards the door, and saw me. He seemed familiar, but I couldn't tell where from. "Thank God. You're not Fontaine. Please tell me you're here to get me out, boyo." The man said, with his voice having a noticeable Irish accent. That was when it hit me. This man was Atlas. The same Atlas that tried to kill me. I pulled my machine gun up to be pointed at him, right at his chest. "Woah! Hey, buddy, before you shoot me, can I at least know why you want me dead?" He asked, putting his hands up. "You're Atlas. You..... You betrayed me, when I trusted you." I said, my voice shaky. "Look boyo, I couldn't of betrayed anyone. I've been in this room for the past two years. Yes, I am Atlas, but the Atlas the people of Rapture know is Fontaine. I swear." He said, his hands still in the air. "What do you mean?" I asked him, still not putting my gun down. "Ok. I'll explain. Like I said, I am Atlas. However, about two months after my revolutionary movement started, Fontaine invited me to this warehouse. He said he wanted to talk business or something. I thought that maybe he could help my side out against Ryan, so I accepted the meeting. Me and him had a few drinks, but he must of spiked mine, because I passed out, and, next thing I know, I'm in this very room. Fontaine walks in, looking like me. He tells me, sounding like me as well, that he plans to replace me as Atlas. I, of course, tried to tell him that I'm not going to allow him to do it. He just laughed and said that it was going to happen whether I like it or not. I've been here for two years, trying to escape this damned room, and now you walk in, freeing me. Hopefully." He told me, putting his hands in his pockets. I lowered my machine gun, and swallowed, my throat dry. Atlas being Fontaine was another of his tricks. Maybe this Atlas was someone good. Maybe this Atlas is another of Fontaine's tricks. "You alright Boyo?" Atlas asked, getting my attention. "Yeah." I said, looking at him. "Here." I tossed him a pistol. "I'm getting you out of here. We can go back to my base. There, you can tell me more of your story. It's not safe to do it here though." I told him, which made him grin. "Alright Boyo. Lead the way."
