𝕷𝖆𝖘𝖍𝖙𝖔𝖓The clock ticked in the dead silent room as I glared my parents down. I'd just got done explaining the situation but have yet to get an answer.
The entire time my fathers face had been blank but my mother looked a little nervous. Which led me to be suspicious.
"How exactly did you find out about this?" My father asked. "I prefer to not say. Just in case." I shrug, my eyes narrowed watching every movement.
My father sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "In all my years of being Alpha of this pack, never have I heard or even seen any type of bullying or abuse happening." He growled frustrated.
"Maybe that's cause the person who started it knows how to hide it?" I suggested looking directly into my mother's eyes. Hers never met mine. I could smell her nervousness.
"Everything alright mother?" I asked with a frown. "O-of course sweetheart, just worried about what's been happening." She answered her eyes still not meeting mine.
"You're lying." I hissed with a growl. My father stood up angrily, glaring down at me.
"Are you accusing your mother my mate of knowing about this whole thing?!" He growled his eyes turning an electric blue. "I never said anything of the sort. All I did was call her out on her bullshit." I said as calm as possible.
That only caused him to get angrier. "Your mother is the kindest women I've ever met! How dare you accuse her of treachery and lying!" He growled, his wolf trying to gain control.
"I never accused her of anything! But would it hurt to be cautious! I know damn well you smell her nervousness and lies." I snarled at him.
He only growled before taking my mothers hand and storming out of the room. I sigh, wanting to call them back but know it wouldn't be a good idea.
I rub my nose in stress. I need to see my family.
With that in mind I leave the room in search for Danny and the kids. I soon find them cuddled up in my private theater watching matilda. I smile fondly at them before joining them on the couch.
I sit next to Danny and give him a kiss on his cheek. "How'd it go?" He asked through our private link.
"Not very good. My father got pissed off after I called my mother out when she lied to me."
"Lied?"
"She told me she was worried about the bullying happening in the pack. Why would she lie about that? That just makes me suspect her when I don't want to. I want to believe my mother is the kind and caring women I grew up with. But I-" I stop my rant short, unable to finish it.
"Oh Ash, it'll be alright, I'm sure your mother is innocent even though I haven't had the chance to meet her." He said leaning on my shoulder.
I smiled down at him before kissing his forehead. "Yeah, I really hope she is. Now let's watch the rest of the movie."
He smiles at me before giving his attention back to the movie, I do the same.
But not before looking at my family. My mate, and two children. It's been a short time but I loved them all dearly. And I'll be damned if I let anyone hurt them ever again.
