I walk up to the door, unlock it, and slip inside the room. I lock the door behind me. I look around the room. Now to get studying. I go over to the bookshelf. There aren't many books about RESETs, but I have discovered books about other things that might help. I look through the topics. SAVEs, the history of humans and monsters... aha! 'The book of AUs'. (Credit to the person who made 'Abysstale') I grab the book and open it, skimming the pages for my new co-worker. Oh! Here it is.
He... remembers all the timelines. Huh... there's more to this guy than I thought. Maybe... maybe he knows something about resets that I don't. I might check later. I flip through the pages, trying to figure out if a human can travel through AUs without the help of a monster that can Universe Hop. Nope. Well, guess I should try again to summon Ink Sans. I stand up."Ink Sans, protecter of AUs, I need assistance..." I say quietly.
Suddenly, I see a puddle of paint and it forms into Ink. I gasp.
"Hello! Oh? You're... human? Odd. Anyway, I'm Ink Sans, but you can call me Ink!" He says loudly.
"SHHHH!" I shush him.
"How come?" He quiets his voice.
"I'm not supposed to be doing this."
"Oh. Anyway, what did you need me for?"
"I need to travel to Undertale."
"How... how do you know about the other AUs?!"
"...I have the book. Anyway, can you bring me there?"
"Why do you need to go there?"
"I need to talk to Classic Sans."
"...Fine. Grab anything you'll need."
I grab my book. "Done."
He grabs me and I see a flash of color before I'm in front of a purple door.
"Say my name when you want to go back." Ink says, then disappears.
I look around. It's very snowy here. I start walking away from the door, shoving my hands in my pockets. Sans should be either waiting for Frisk, or at his post. I'm praying that he's at his post. Once I get to the bridge, I hear snow crunching. I turn around. Lo and behold, the blue jacketed skeleton is behind me.
"Uhhh... Don't you-?" He begins.
"Know how to greet a new pal. Yes, I do. Hello Sans." I interrupt him.
"How... do... who are you?!" He is shocked.
"My name is (Y/N). Nice to meet you. I need your help." I say.
"What kind of help?" He asks.
"I need you to tell me everything you know about resets."
"What!? How do you know about those?!"
"Just tell me. I'm trying to save my own damn universe and I don't need you getting in my way."
"I need to look at your soul first."
"...Fine, but it's not normal."
He holds out his hand and we enter a fight. My soul emerges.
"W-woah... kid? What... what even IS this?" Sans questions with wide eye sockets."A soul. Now tell me about resets." I say.
We exit the fight.
"Okay, so this is as much as I know, alright?" He says.
"Alright." I smile.
"So, a reset erases everything that someone has done. For lack of a better word, it's kinda like time travel. Not many existences remember timelines. Only a being who is very determined can reset, save, and load. The soul color for determination is red. The determined being who falls down here is the angel. Legend says 'the angel, the one who has seen the surface, they will return, and the underground will go empty'."
"Ok. Thank you for your time, Sans."
"No problem."
I walk off into the forest, covering up my footprints. "Ink Sans."
He appears. "You ready?"
I hold up my book. "Yup."
"Where do you want me to drop you off?"
"Same place."
"Alright." He grabs me and I see the same flash of color and we are at the lab, in my room thing.
"Bye." Ink says.
"Bye." I reply.
