Time to pass down the crown

It's been a year since lilac and Ben became engaged  and now she kept finding her father passed out on the ground it got bad enough that Ben,lavender , sissy ,alex and. Jeff moved in so their will be one person here for him . One day  they came home from school finding a record message that said come to the hospital . Lilac called jack to come back and take them there and she told him what was going on . Once jack got their they climbed in and quickly drove there lilac was a crying mess  she was scared and worried about her father  it was freaking the others out because she was known as the girl that never cries.  They know if lilac was crying it was serious .  When they got their jack parked and went in with them  they hurried to the desk and asked for the hospital room  when they were told  lilac ran to his room. When lilac got into his room seeing him hooked up to the machines it felt like someone ripped her heart out " daddy ."she cried she ran to his side and hugs him .Alexander was  asleep till he heard his daughter voice he opened up his eyes in the state he was in he looked so much older and looked so tired but he put on a smile " my little princess  it's almost time for you to take over ." He said softly
Ben came in with a said look with the nurse who helped our family for years she softly said " miss lilac your father has stage four cancer .....he only has two months left. Alexander has known this for 5years . " she said with tears in her own eyes " make the next two months worth it." Lilac hugs onto her father " daddy I want to go for a ride with you again like we used to when I was little ." She said tearful "please daddy when you get out can we do that " she said burying her head in his chest. Lilac felt like a scared child all over again she felt her world was falling apart

Ben had a few tears in his eyes " I will be right back .. lavender come in here and watch over her I need to call my father and tell his to get his fucking ass down here " Ben gave Alexander a bit of a hug as he seen his father in law in pain and his bride hugging her father and Ben kissed her cheek and walked outside and called his father. Who now rushed to the hospital to see his friend . Once William got there he walked into the room  lilac was asleep curled up on the bed next to her father  It pained him to see his future daughter so said and seeing his friend   . William picked up lilac and handed her to his son  and told them to go home  . William sat down on the foot of the bed " my friend. You should have told me you were ill I could of tried to help you . You know your a fucking asshole. We promised to die together of old age  since both of our wives did. We promise we will to ." Tears fell down Williams eyes  as Alexander sigh " I know buddy but tomorrow when I leave this hospital we are going to do something that we did a few times  " go for a long car ride with the kids  just Lilac and Ben ." He weakly smiled
