The Rise Of The Signs/ a zodiac story

Chapter 2

The wind howled and whispered to the night sky. Few people walked the streets, most were out of their games and sleeping. As for the group, they were hiking through the city to find the next spot that they would use to earn money, the criminal way of course.

"Keep walking"

"But there's such pretty lights"

"You see these lights every single day"

"Night"

"Don't correct me!"

"But you were wrong"

"Just keep walking"

"Mk", Capricorn replied.

Scorpio kept walking towards the Edgewater Medical Center, abandoned since 2001. It was supposed to be torn down, but it was delayed for so long that the problem was lost in the gigantic wave of attention the online games brought.

"Okay listen up!" Scorpio said as he continued to walk at a brisk pace, "The hospital is guarded by only one guard, Cancer I want a headshot!" He said giving a slight nod in the girls way, " Leo I want you and Gemini on the citizens, you know the rules make sure they suspect nothing! Pisces, you and Capricorn can group with Cancer, thank you for all the info on the building! And Aries I want your scope on the spot two stories up!" Scorpio said while pointing to a spot that wasn't occupied by any life, Aries gave a quizzical stare but then kicked back and started to set up her rifle to where the muzzle was pointing to the second story. The rest of the group continued on without her, " Me and Virgo will be body-guarding Taurus and Libra until the jackpot in which I expect Aqua and Sag have it opened by the time we get there." Everyone nodded and started heading their certain ways.
Scorpio and Virgo walked ahead of the left over zodiacs which were Taurus and Libra, the two were making small chat about random topics. " What even is the prize?" Virgo asked from beside Scorpio, " First Aid, even if he wont admit it, Leo has been limping ever since that fight with a drug dealer last week.". "Pfft, since when does Leo get into fights about over pricing?!" Libra asked joining in on the conversation, " Not pricing, the drug, had poison that is lethal to humans in it." Scorpio shrugged, Taurus giggled from beside Libra, "Wow that dude thought that he could kill our man, boy was he wrong. Pity he did manage to twist his ankle though, its quite swollen!". They continued rambling on until Scorpio held up a fist signaling them to be quiet. The group crouched down and entered the building after Scorpio gave the all clear. Taurus slowly moved his way to the stairs near the entrance, Scorpio then made a bird call and a shot was fired, following the shot a scream was heard and then a curse coming from the street the zodiacs left Cancer on.

         Virgo shoved Libra and Taurus in the stairwell and mouthed to them 'run'. Another shot was fired while the two made their way up the stairs to the third floor where several untouched yet worn by the years rooms were, each with a hospital bed and a first aid kit. Taurus rushed in one and grabbed the kit, he proceeded to clutch Libras hand and drag her to an office that had a desk with two swivel chairs and a safe. Libra silently nodded and scrambled over to the safe, she motioned for Taurus to open it while she was lookout. After several tries Taurus whispered," I got it, but there's not a ton in here just some envelopes and maybe 25 bucks." He shuffled around some more and pulled out a pistol, "Score! Let's go!" Libra grabbed some files and the cash then ran with Taurus who was holding the firearm.
Scorpio was there to greet the two at the bottom of the stairwell, noticing the extras he glared at them but urged them to Virgo who ran with them to Cancer's group. "What happened, did the bullet not make contact?" Virgo questioned Cancer as Libs and Taurus shared their excitement about the gun and the cash to Pisces and Capricorn. " Guy knew I was here, dodged the shot..." Cancer replied, clearly sullen at her miss. " Capricorn found out that the guard knew about our operation, saw us place Cancer's group and got ready to swerve out of the bullet path. Aries was successful in killing him at the second story stairwell opening." Scorpio explained to the two members.
          The rest of the gang came over in the following couple of minutes, Aries was skipping at her kill. Aqua and Sag came back very confused, " We searched through the whole system, there was no cameras or anything and only one working computer and monitor. There were a couple of files that required a passcode" Sag said and then Aquarius interfered, " Did you two find anything that looked remotely important as in envelopes, the files were between two men, all they talked about was letters to a man that's goes by the name KING." She said to Libra and Taurus, " Well we found some along with a pistol and $25! But my question is why was that all in a hospital?" Taurus replied. "Dunno" Libra answered for the group. Gemini and Leo came back only for Virgo to push down Leo, "What was that for!" Leo whispered yelled to make sure no civilians heard. "Stay." Was all Virgo said as he grabbed to first aid kit and handed it to Sag who learned first aid from her brother who was an Eagle Scout before he died. Virgo pointed to Leo's ankle and Sag sighed as she got to work on wrapping it in a ankle brace from the bandanna she found in the kit.
"With that out of the way who gets the gun?" Gemini asked eyes wide like a kid on Christmas morning at the sight of the firearm.
