Kendra and Onika sit in the kitchen. Kendra holds her head in her hands.

"I saw his goddamn dead girlfriend last night," Kendra sighs and holds back her tears.

"It's fine, it's not like he can cheat in any way," Onika explains. Kendra rolls her eyes and looks at her cousin.

"Oh yeah! It's perfectly fine!" She yells sarcastically. "Let's just go," Kendra huffs and starts collecting her things.

Jeremy sees Kendra and runs over to her. "Babe, I'm sorry! It wasn't what it looked like!" Jeremy pleads. She rolls her eyes and stares into her boyfriend's eyes.

"You were thinking of her! You let her be there, and didn't try to stop thinking about her!" Kendra explains to him. She's holding back even more tears and crosses her arms.

"It's not like I want too!" Jeremy frowns. "You're the only one I want! No dead girl can change that!" Jeremy explains. Kendra sighs, and stares at him.

"I don't know, Jer," Kendra whispers. "It's hard when the one you love is seeing his dead girlfriends that he never broke up with," she explains. Kendra looks around and sees people still putting things up. She sees some of the decorations swaying in the wind.

"Kendra? Are you listening?" Jeremy asks.

"Oh yeah," Kendra nods her head. She didn't listen to anything because she was thinking too much. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be mad," She says and hugs her boyfriend tightly. Jeremy is shocked by her sudden movements but hugs her back immediately.

"What are we doing here?" Jeremy asks.

"Tobias Fell is the head of the history department," Alaric states. "I didn't have a choice," He says, and Kendra laughs.

"Poor you," Kendra says playfully.

"Alright, that explains what you're doing here," Jeremy says.

"Well, I'm the one who can fail you if you don't help me out," Alaric says with a smile. Jeremy rolls his eyes, and Kendra chuckles.

"Hey, sorry I'm late," Elena walks up to the three. "What did I miss?" Elena asks.

"Just a bunch of historical lies," A female voice comments. Kendra turns around and sees Anna. She starts to feel worried and looks at Jeremy. Anna looks at Kendra and gives her a shocked smile.

"You didn't miss anything," Jeremy says. He looks at his girlfriend, and at his dead girlfriend. Kendra scoots closer to Elena. All she could think about is Anna, and how she could lose Jeremy. A tear runs down Kendra's cheek but immediately wipes it away. Alaric looks at her, and mouths, "are you okay?" She nods and fakes a smile.

"After the founders stole from all the vampires," Kendra looks at Anna once more. Jeremy chuckles a bit, and Elena gives him a questioning look.

"What's so funny?" Elena asks.

"Safe from the vampires," Anna comments. Kendra rolls her eyes and looks at the man talking. Everything is starting to become blurry, but she ignores it. Jeremy chuckles, and smiles. Anna grabs Jeremy's hand, but Kendra didn't notice.

"Hey, Jer, I need you to help me with something," Elena asks her younger brother.

"What's up?" He responds.

"I've been going through Stefan's old journals," Elena says and pulls out a couple of journals. Kendra takes a sip of her water and looks at the chair Anna is sitting in. "Every single time that he's gone off the rails in the past, his best friend Lexi's been the one to bring him back," Elena explains.
