They found their way to the thrown room. The two bug double doors were the only thing that stood in their way to meet zeref. Lucy pushed the doors open. " Hi dad " She said cheerfully.
" Your back already, and you've brought guests " He said noticing the rest of them. " Yes, they are here to meet Igneel, Grandeeney, and metalicana " Lucy answered. " And about Erza...? " He asked. " I'll tell her, just give me some time- " She was saying but was interrupted by the ground shaking. " Does this normally happen? " Erza asked. " No... " Lucy said. " Wait but he can't be... " Zeref said. Realization struck both their faces. " What is happening? " Gray asked. " Acnologia " Lucy answered. They all shuddered. " I thought he was dead " Erza said. " It's okay, don't worry, I got this " Lucy said. She whistles and Nightwing appears in an instant. " M'lady " He said. Lucy hop's on his back. " Lucy what are you- " Zeref was saying but then he realized. " Lucy you mustn't, the consequences for that spell!! " He warned. " I know but, I have to protect my people " Lucy said. " Let's go Nightwing " Lucy said patting his back. Nightwing didn't want to but he worked never go against the order of Lucy. He flew off at lights speed, doing flips while they went. When they caught sight of acnologia Lucy hopped off of him. She'll just trick him into cutting her. He saw her falling. Lucy grinned, but it was undetected by the dragon of chaos. She hit the ground, but the impact startled her, making her cough. Acnologia roared and flew straight down to her. The others watched in horror. " Lucy/Bunny girl/Luce!! " They yelled. They were all ready to jump out to Lucy but Irene used her magic to hold them back.
" What the hell?! Let us go save her! " Natsu said. " No, Lucy knows what she's doing " Irene said. " But he's gonna kill her! " Gray argued. " No, he's not, just watch " Irene said. They all look down at Lucy. " Irene " Zeref said in a worried voice. Irene looked at her brother. " She's planning to use the spell " He said. " But that's...! " She said. " I know " Zeref said. Irene looked down at her nervously. Acnologia soaring as fast as he can towards Lucy. He scratcher badly and Lucy glowed brightly. Too bright for the dragon to handle, for he was blown away by the power. She transformed into her dragon goddess form. She attacked him. And they continue to fight, bruising each other with every blow. " What is she doing now? " Erza asked. " She's using an ancient spell, one that hasn't been used in millions of years " Irene said.
" What's that? " Erza said. " Drain Magicka " Zeref answered. " It's an ancient and forbidden spell, it drains the enemies magic and life, killing them " Irene said. " Why is that so bad? " Wendy asked. " Because the cost is a hefty one, if Lucy uses that spell, she will die along with him " Zeref said. Shock was planted on every one of their faces. " Luce is gonna... " Natsu started. " Die... " Gray finished. " Like hell I'll let that happen! " Natsu yelled igniting his hands. He smashed the windows.
" Son of a- does he know how much that will take to get fixed? " Irene said. Natsu jumped down to Lucy. " Luce! " He yelled. " Huh Natsu?! What are you doing?! " She asked. " Don't go dying on me just yet, Kay? " He asked. " But I have to do this, I have to save my family " Lucy said. " Remember what I told gray?! " He asked. Lucy stopped.
" You don't die for your friends, you live for them! " He yelled, the last few words Echoes in her head. Memories, memories of her smiling friends and family, flew into her mind. reminding her of all the good times. She grins.
" You idiot " She said happily. Natsu smirked. " Listen up acnologia! " Lucy yelled getting the black dragons attention. " Thanks to this idiot, your death with be less painful! " She said. " You won't be able to hurt me little girl " Acnologia chuckled. " Well, not that much, but none the less... " She said. Natsu's hands ignited once again. " Pain is pain, and victory is victory " Lucy said. " Okay Natsu " Lucy said.
" Luce?! Your in my head! " He said. Lucy giggled. " Well duh, anyways, I think I have another plan " She said.
" Acnologia thinks he is the most powerful dragon right? But he's wrong cause I am " Lucy explains.
" He loves magic, so all you have to do is do your roar at him, and I'll handle the rest " Lucy said. " okay " Natsu answered. He breathed in. " Fire dragon... " He started. " ROAAAAAR " He shouted as fire shot out of his mouth at acnologia. Acnologia ate his fire, but he didn't expect what happened next. Natsu and Lucy were coming up behind the fire. Natsu punched him in the face, and Lucy kicked him. He fell on his back. " Okay her goes! " Lucy yelled and Natsu nodded. They went straight for him and the impact broke his scales, with their power combined, acnologia was killed. " So he's just dead I guess " Lucy said. Natsu chuckled. Nightwing flies them back up to the castle. " Hey Natsu why'd you come down here? " Lucy asked. " I can't let you die Luce, your my best friend, plus, what's team Natsu without Lucy? " He said. Lucy was surprised, but soon smiled along with him. Nightwing rushed over to the castle. " Lucy... Your alive! " They celebrate. " Yeah, Natsu told me some really familiar words " Lucy smiled.
" You wanna meet your parents right? " Lucy asked. The slayers eyes lit up.
" Okay let's go " Lucy said.
