Chapter 1.6

It was already late at night when she arrive at their house and her mom was already sleeping. So she quietly went to her room and look over the memories of the original body to prepare for her class the following day.

However, it seemed that it was all for naught because the following morning, her mother surprised her with a news that she is not quite sure if it is a good new or bad news to her mission.

Apparently, yesterday her father flew back here to talk and convince her mother to marry him. I don't know what he said to her but he successfully obtained a positive reply from her mother. Due to this, they are now flying back to the ancestral home. 'Huhu, damn father you should have told me earlier so I didnt have to travel back and forth /(ㄒoㄒ)/~~'

"Shu Le, is it really okay that I will be marrying your father?" Hong Ting gently clutched the hand of her daughter who is blankly staring at her phone.

Shu Le woke up from her pondering. "Mom, please do not think about me. The only thing important to me is that you are happy. If you are only doing this for me, then I suggest you don't marry dad. I want both of you to be happy, whether together or with other people is fine with me. So, answer me truthfully, are you happy with your decision?"

Hong Ting was quite amazed with the maturity of her daughter. She looked deeply into her daughter's eyes and said, " Yes, I am surprisingly happy. All these years, I thought my admiration of your father has already been erased by time, but when we talk things thru, I found that he is still quite to my liking" Upon saying her real thoughts, Hong Ting blushed like there is no tomorrow.

Shu Le laughed at this and gently embraced her mother. "I am proud of you Mom. You just have to be truthful to yourself and everything will be fine"

Although she said this, Shu Le was a bit worried because of the upcoming storm that Qin Yu Zhou will bring to her new family. But she will be waiting and be prepared for it. She has to make sure that her mom won't be implicated too much or be left hanging.

Now they are back in the ancestral home. She only got to pack her important items like jewelry and personal items because her father said that he will be taking care of the move. Her mother will be staying in the ground floor master bedroom with Shu Cheng, while she will be staying in the room where she stayed last.

Upon arrival, she was encase in a warm hug by her Grandfather. Her mother was also hugged by the old man and from his eyes, you can see deep remorse. They talked inside before retiring to rest.

Shu Heng was not home because of school so she didn't get to see him.

What she didn't know is that Shu Heng is busy personally taking care of her transfer in his school first thing in the morning. After completing the process, that is the only time he breath a sigh of relief.

"Hey, I heard that your father is remarrying and there is a little sister" Xu Jin asked. Shu Heng nodded absentmindedly towards his friend.

"Would you like me to take care of them?" A vicious glint came over Xu Jin's eyes.

Suddenly the atmosphere becomes heavy, a dark pressure coming out of Shu Heng's body. "You are not allowed to touch a single hair." Shu Heng's voice was dark and final.

Xu Jin was surprised. Like Shu Heng, Xu Jin came from a big family where illegitimate children are abundant and back stabbing and even killing is a normal occurrence. So he couldn't understand why Shu Heng will be soft on this sister, not unless he will be using her for political marriage later on.

"Are you planning to use her marriage as political..?" Xu Jin havens finished what he was saying when Shu Heng raised his fist and almost hit him if he wasn't quick to his feet. "The hell man?" Xu Jin was indignant.
