A girl who lives most her life as a lie until she has enough at a young age. She follows her dreams although it isn't easy. A life full of mystery and disguises (featuring why don't we)
Isobel's POV Showtime... I was stood centre stage, the blue spotlight dimming. I exhaled as the light flashed on me with the beat of the song. I started to strum the tune in my guitar as I sang. The crowd roared, singing along to the song. I felt at home, this is where I belong, on stage. I became nervous as the high part of the song came, but I hit that note as a broad smile was painted on my face. I went off the stage for the next costume change as Susie wished me good luck. I could get use to this.
I ran back on stage as the microphone stood there tall and proud. I love singing. This was my dream. It's hard with a mask on but you don't want people to know it's you do they? Harmonies in the background came on. I pointed the microphone to the crowd and told them to sing out as cheers filled the arena. When I looked into the crowd I saw a familiar face. Why are they here? Without realising I had stopped singing. I drop the microphone and ran off stage. It was Charles.
I covered my face not wanting anyone to notice what I had done. I was full with anger at myself for doing it. "I should've just ignored it." I thought to myself. I didn't realise but my eyes were weeping, tears were rolling down my cheeks. I let the audience down, I let Susie down, I let myself down. It's so hard because I knew that tomorrow I was going to wake to this being all over the news. I ran down the slim corridor trying to find my dressing room. The quicker I was allowed to leave the better.
The corridor seemed like it never ended. I saw the sign in the distance saying, "disguise" but I could get to it. I turned the corner to be met face to face with a boy with blonde hair and emerald eyes. As the paper scattered across the floor, he bent down to pick them up. "I'm so sorry let me help you." As I bent down to help him he said, "oh no it's okay are you alright?" I looked away.He heard me sniffling. Gosh I am so soppy. Why?! Our eye contact interlocked for a moment then he smiled at me. "I am Corbyn. Do you have a name." Well yes I have a name but not when I am dressed like this. "I'm Disguise." I stuttered. Just then I heard shouting from afar so as I turned I was shocked...
The security guard was chasing me. Damn it. They will want me to keep performing won't they? I think Corbyn may have understood what was going on because he pushed me into his changing room and told me to wait in there. I didn't really have a choice to be honest. I heard soft murmurs outside the room as the sound of footsteps faded.
I was brought back from my thoughts when I heard someone clearing their throat. "Ahem?" I turned to see 4 boys sat without shirts on midway changing. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry!" I turned while my cheeks grew red with embarrassment. Corbyn walked in and as soon as the door opened I ran out. I had to phone Susie.
As soon as I found her, I packed my things from the dresser room and we both exited the arena. It was such a silent car journey. I didn't want to talk. When we got home, I turn on the TV and of course it was a channel which was streaming my performance. I was about to turn off when Susie said, "you did well don't worry about it." Five boys came on the stage. as I turn the TV up, I recognised one of them... Corbyn. I switched the tv off and went to sleep.
