Atara, he cannot live!" He looked with an unforgettable look in his eyes. The smell or metal and refuse stuffed the hardly livable cell.
"I'm naming him Lorcan, I thought you should know." Atara tautly replied. He rolled his brilliant blue eyes, still shining in the moonlight, he looked at me with confusion.
"I'm never getting out, you know. This son is going to make it worse. If he is born, I won't be known as his father. Leave, please, just go," he had a cold distant look on his face as he walked past the filth, to the corner of the cell.
Atara felt tears welling up in her eyes. It was hardly a few weeks and her bump would show. Maybe he was right, she thought. Maybe they all were right.
She didn't say goodbye, she just dragged her feet up the rickety stairs as her thoughts began to consume her.
She walked into her chariot, that had a clean black finish. Darkness could be both beautiful and destructive.
"I'm done with my donations, I will be going to the market now, please let me go alone and return the carriage." Atara promptly said to the rider.
Lorcan, she felt her stomach lurch forward as the chariot clackered away. She walked out of this part of the alleys, towards the bustling streets.
Dust caught onto her straight brown hair, and her brown eyes were troubled. Dragging her feet to the healer, she wept. But they were silent tears, that rolled down her face burning her cheeks, as if her body was resisting more crying.
