A/N This part is to introduce Ataras family and sisters..just bear with the introduction.
Phaethon is Amara's Boyfriend (basically).
They are a part of the elite.
Frieche house, Amara's PoV
Wilted violets were scattered on her table,  from Phaethon. She dreamt about his lean body in a black tuxedo, his arms tucked around her waist.
Amara twirled her brown hair, and smiled at the thought. Life was finally going to be complete, with a new ornately decorated house, expensive wine, and more importantly her jewels.
Shining gems, the feeling of them being around her wrist or binding her neck. Their brightness and twinkles setting her apart. Walking over to her dresser she opened a drawer removing a large, decorated box.
The box was like a thousand lamps in a room. The sun kissed the crystals and made them almost white. She caressed them, the feeling of these between her slender fingers filled her with warmth and reassurance. Gems of every colour , of the exotic kind and common ones were carefully kept in the box. Amara smiled as she felt their needle-like edges. They resembled tiny mirrors, bouncing off the light from another, like a star on earth.
Amara couldn't ever forget them, or leave them behind. Diamonds were a girl's best friend, but her stones were like her children, but calling them stones felt like demeaning their beauty.
Her neck would always adorned with sapphires of the east. Her life should always be in the twinkle of gems, and Phaethon had never reprimanded or refused her expensive demands.
There was a fast knock at her door. She closed the box and shoved it in.
"Can I please be miserable to you for a while?" Amirah screeched.
"What, what tragic event has led me to see your dull face?" Amara wasn't exactly happy to hear her sister cry about her new infatuation.
Amirah at 13, was already fantasizing about her trivial problems like they were the end of the world.
Men, they seem so nice and important until they reveal their ulterior motives, and seem to be so immature and trivial.
