7:05AM: 14 BARONS STREET, MARABAN JOS.
THE JACKSON'S RESIDENCE.

Frank and Murad arrived at the crime scene and were accosted immediately by Sergeant Nonso.

He explained that both Lieutenant Jaiye and the Police Chief Laila Ali were on the scene via hologram.

There were numerous media outlets and blogs on the scene and the detectives had to force their way into the house.

Zaria PD and Kaduna PD had to collaborate to push back neighbours and bystanders who added to the growing crowd outside the house.

There was a buzz of activity, from the officers setting the barricades and enforcing the perimeter to the medical examiner and the CSIs.

A sense of urgency was felt, this was Kaduna's first serial killing in years.

'Anas!' Sergeant Nonso called as he walked toward the CSI flanked by the two detectives, the Lieutenant and police chief, 'what do you have for us?' he asked grimly.

'Chief, Lieutenant, Sarge, permit me to speak freely, this shit has hit the fence!' Anas replied, 'this murder matches the MO for the Noahs and the Abbasids but it's more brazen. From the state of the remains you can see that they were beaten to death, it was vicious and their deaths were drawn out. It seems to me that this was sorta personal, this was meant as a statement of some sorts.'

'I agree', said Owen Awa, the medical examiner, 'the murderer is escalating, there is no restrain in the precision of each blow. The murderer was aware of the amount of damage he wanted to inflict and did so to the letter.'

'How does that help us?' Chief Ali asked.

'It doesn't, it only means that if they intend to kill again it is likely to be more vicious than this one', Anas replied.

'Do you have time of death?' Lieutenant Jaiye asked.

'Yes sir, due to the extent of rigor mortis, we estimate that they've been dead for five hours. Definitely around the hours of 1:50am to 2:15am' Owen replied.

'Ask the neighbours, find out if there were any disturbances in the neighbourhood around that time', Jaiye instructed, 'find out if there were any suspicious fellows lurking around recently and see if you can get a description.'

'Yes sir', both Frank and Murad responded.

'Contact next of kin, look into their acquaintances for any threats and find Otoza Mubarak', Cheif Ali added.

'Yes ma'am', Frank and Murad responded again.

'We have to meet the governor for a closed door meeting, you too Abiodun. So make your way to the government house now, we'll meet you there', Chief Ali directed and closed off her hologram.

'Gentlemen, contain this shit before it stinks up the whole place', Jaiye added before closing off his own.

'Guys it goes without saying that Otoza is in danger, we need to find these pricks', Nonso stated, 'the governor will surely ask about what progress we've made so if we catch a break, call me.'

'Sure, will do sir', Anas replied, 'you up for this Owen?' he asked.

'Nah man, but we gotta do what we gotta do', Owen replied.

'We'll get to the neighbours while you guys do your thing, tell us when you are ready to go back to the station', said Murad, 'let's go?'

'Let's', Frank replied.
