Dawn of the new era

Chapter 21

Month passes. Kamui silently looks over narrowing his gaze targeting sakura, whos practicing swordplay with a knife by her lonesome, in the warehouse they currently occupy. Midnight walks up too kamui and pauses in front of him, as he looks over to sakura as well. "She still here." Kamui the first to speak up. "Yes, she stays." Midnight utters under there mask. "Doesn't matter, she interferes then." Kamui aloof, looks away from her with detached eyes. "Very well." Midnight hidden expression walks off in the direction of sakura.       

Each sound of there high boots steping on the hard cement of the warehouse, reverberates off the walls and creates a hollow echo in the singular empty room. Sakura takes notice in midnight who stands next to her, she lowers her slightly shaken blade and looks at midnight curiously. "Would you be so kind, as too tell me if i am doing something wrong? " Sakura generously ask for advice, however midnight remains quiet as they continue to overwatch her, they watch her inefficiently practice. They take a step over, and proceeds to place there hand on hers. Sakura caught off guard looks at them dumbfounded, she looses her grip on the knife  that creates a lound scraping metal noise hitting the ground a few times. On the last hit of the knife falling, sakura regains her loss senses again. "I-im sorry! Im the one who asked for help." Sakura embarrassed, kneels down to pick up the blade, the person doesn't react. They retract there hand and watch her pick up the blade. Sakura trys to pick up the knife but her hand doesn't grip onto the handle, she looks at the blade with downcast eyes. "( So now, i cant even... He was right...)" Sakura picks up the blade in her slightly shaken hand.   

Kamui walks through the spacious, dimly lit warehouse, he passes sakura on the ground. "Its time." Kamui informs, as he walks pass midnight he doesn't wait for an answer and heads outside. "were leaving." Midnight states as they look downwards on sakura presently on the cement still, she looks up to only to find them turning there back and walking off, she gets up and decides to follow them outside where they rendezvous with Kamui, who has closed eyes along with folded arms leaning against the tree waiting for them, away from sakura and midnight. 

"Kamui and sakura. You will head north, report anything you find out." Midnight hands out orders as they head the opposite direction from them, sakura stands puzzled as she watches kamui start to walk off on his own in haste, she follows behind him. "What are we doing kamui? Why did we split up?" Sakura tilts her head in confusion to him, her eyes drift towards the darken evening sky, clouded up blocking the sun from appearing. "Mission." Kamui abruptly answers coldly as he doesn't look back, they pass a village on the outskirts of the town, kamui leading her through the forest takes notice in broken twigs and stepped on bushes creating a hidden pathway apart from the main road. Not much indication of others using it they brush past the bush. 

kamui stops walking, forcing sakura to pause behind him. "Were being followed, i sense it... Bloodlust." Kamui recognize it as he continues to walk. "W-we are? What should we do?" Sakura nervously questions as she walks closer to kamui. "Keep walking. (Feels familiar)" Kamui unchanged expression tells her as he contemplates the peculiar pretense thought. 

While they walk alittle ways more, a dagger gets thrown in there direction from inside the forest. Kamui hears the faint sound of the dagger piercing through the wind cutting it in two, he quickly turns around and reaches his arm out to pushe sakura to the ground, she falls down hitting her back against a tree trunk, unable to defend himself while his arm was out the dagger cuts his arm tearing the thin fabric, the wound slightly bleeds. The dagger gets caught in the tree above sakura, kamui holds his injured arm with his left hand, and grabs his kunai with his injured right arm, scanning the direction from where the dagger came from.          

"Kamui! Are you alright?" Sakura looks up at the dagger in the tree and kunai standing above her holding his arm. She pushes her hand of the ground and paces another hand on the tree to stand up, she takes the dagger that was in the tree and holds in the hand. "Theres two of them, focus." Kamui unruffled by the situation informs her as another dagger comes flying in there direction kamui effortlessly deflects the attack. "Dont push yourself too much!" Sakura concern tells kamui, as she does another figure jumps down from the treetop they are under and lands infront of the dazed sakura as the figure was aiming to deal a fatal blow to sakura, she instinctively lifts the dagger she got from the tree up and blockes the attack, however the impact of the dagger clashing was to great causing her to take a few steps back.  Kamui hears the rustle of leaves and metal clash and looks back at sakura and the second figure he sensed behind him.
