Saraya had spent most of the day lost in her thoughts.

She was worried about the little cat that had escaped from her apartment, so much that she had confused some orders and broken some glass in the kitchen.

The British woman had found him weak, wet and with cold. She knew that a cat was not quite faithful like a dog and she knew that Mandy would have found out sooner or later, making her put the animal up for adoption, but Saraya had hoped to have more time.

-Eart calling Raya- Says her co-worker snapping her fingers in front of her face.

The pale female leaves her trance and looks at the woman in front of her.

-What?- Asks distracted.

-Natalya wants you to take care of closing today- Says the brunette.

-Oh God- Says young woman -I'll have to stay up all night to finish my homework.

-It's Friday honey- Alicia says smiling -You can do it another day.

-No, I can't, I have to meet a classmate to finish a job today, they invited us to a party tomorrow and it is important for Mandy to be there and on Sunday I plan to finish a project and talk to my family until I fall asleep.

Saraya had not always lived in the United States, she had actually got a scholarship for her good grades and extra curricular at her school in England.

Moving from living with her family to a small room at Columbia University that she had to share with a noisy roommate had been a big change for her.

By the end of the first year she had agreed with her two new best friends to live together, everything had been easier since then.

Virtual time with her family was important to Saraya, she tried to call every possible Sunday, which was a day that her family spend together.

-Don't worry, I take care- Says her partner smiling.

-No, you've saved me before, I can't keep taking advantage of your good person- Says Saraya.

-Of course you can- Says the brunette laughing -I was in your place before, College is not easy and I am happy to help.

-Thanks Foxy, you're the best- Says the British woman wrapping her friend in a hug.

-Also, I need to keep my beau in check- Says Alicia smiling.

-Does the reporter still come here?- Asks the young woman.

-Yes, every night, that's why I love to close- Says Alicia smiling.

Saraya rolls her eyes with a smile.

Alicia had been obsessed with that man since she had seen him, Saraya didn't see him so often since she normally don't stay till close time, only a couple of times a year.

-You will have to talk to him sooner or later- Says Saraya -Or someone else will do it for you.

-I know- Says Alicia with a sigh -But every time I try to talk to him I can't, I get paralyzed.

-I know the feeling- Says Saraya with a small smile -But you have to do it if you want to get somewhere with this obsession.

-And what about you?- Alicia asks with a smile on her face.

-What about me?- Asks the British confused.

-You're going to lie to me and tell me that it's your partials and tasks that makes you all distracted- Says the brunette.

-No, it's a cat actually- Says Saraya trying not to laugh when she sees the expression on her friend's face.

-A cat?

-Yes, a cat, I found him yesterday when leaving a friend's apartment, he was wet and cold, I took him to the apartment, I bathed him and fed him, when I left this afternoon of my classes, I returned to give him real food and he wasn't there, all because of Matt's idiot ass- Says Saraya annoyed.

-Wait... Matt and a cat in Mandy's apartment? That was not pretty for her.

-Mandy doesn't know anything about the cat or Matt, don't tell her.

-My lips are sealed- Says Alicia.

A few minutes of silence pass between the women while they continued working.

-Seriously? Does a cat have you that distracted? - Alicia asks making Saraya laugh.

-I can't help it, I love animals- Says Saraya in her defense.

-Girl, you need to get some action... urgent.

Saraya releases a sigh of frustration as she sits next to her partner.

-Wow I thought you liked me- Says the blond eating from some Cheetos.

-Nick, we're in the library, you're not supposed to eat in here- Says Saraya placing the book they would need on the table.

-I know- Says Nick -But do I look like a guy who would care?

-Anyway- Says the young woman rolling her eyes -If they kick you, I'll take all the credit from work.

-Fine- Says the man keeping his bag of fry in his backpack -What else do we need to finish this?

-Just draw the bones of the rabbit and cat... and point them out- Says Saraya looking between the leaves of the project almost finished.

-I hate that Mr. Heyman makes us do the work by hand- Says the blond complaining.

-Me too, but there is nothing we can do about it, except to finish this thing, I want to get to my apartment early today- Says Saraya beginning to draw the bones of the cat.

-Do you have a date?- Nick asks as he draws the rabbit's bones.

-Noup, you know I don't go out with anyone- Says the raven-haired girl avoiding rolling her eyes.

-Then what is the reason why you wouldn't want to stay in the library all night with me- Says Nick, smiling sideways.

-My bed... and Mandy will make dinner tonight- Says Saraya.

-Ahh right, Mandy is a good at cook as I remember- Says the blond.

-When did you and Mandy even exchange a look?- Saraya asks looking at her partner.

-Only in my dreams- Nick replies.

-Eww, don't do that, if you think for a second I'm going to help you, you're wrong- Says the British woman.

-Why not?- Asks the blond -I'm handsome, nice, no woman has ever complained about my company, tell me one reason why you wouldn't help me with Mandy.

-You are a playboy- Says the pale female with simplicity.

-Who told you that?- Nick asks confused.

-No one needs to tell me, your whole face and body tells me.

-You are judging me by how I look, I'm a good boy and quite nice if you take the time to know me- Says Nick.

-I'm going to listen to my female instincts this time- Says Saraya -Let's go back to work.
