Chapter 1
SCHOOL 8:30 AM
My flight to Miami was great. The house that me and the other Phantoms stayed in was great. My assignment (a guy named Ben Green) I talked to him on the phone and i look forward to meeting him. He sounded like a good guy. The school i went to? There were kids in every direction running, fighting, name-calling, mouthing off at teachers-----Yea i thought... I'M GONNA LOVE THIS PLACE! Everything went swell untill of course "DEMOLISHER" SOME OVERSIEZED 7TH GRADER WHO LIKES TO PICK ON KIDS YOUNGER THAN HIM. I mean he was ugly. REALLY UGLY. He wore a black tanktop some leather jeans with a chain hanging on them and the worst of all a scar right on his face but his was going through his right eye in a straight slant mine went across my face.....AND IT WAS REAL....He wore a fake scar because if your ever lucky to get close enough you could see it peeling off.. and it had a glare of lights like it was paper. And it was red my scar blended in with my face cause it healed. IF his scar was real it wouldn't be that light of a color red if he said he got it 3 yrs ago in a fight. ANYway It all started when i made a "wisecrack" at him while i walked past and i said "You put on a little to much eyeliner" He grabbed me and attempted to throw me into the locker but of course my SRK-1586 took over and the hand he used to grab my left arm was used to flip him in the trashcan. His first lackey came at me with a left hook i dodged it took him by his back and kneed him in the groin, the stomach, and the face in that exact order. "The 3 strike manuever". His 3rd lackey had a better idea and ran for the principal to snitch but when they got there i was gone. While i was walking in the hallway during lunch i thought to myself. " Yea, I'M REALLY GONNA LIKE THIS PLACE!". Okay i thought. It's time. It's time to meet my assignment. I got to the cafeteria and automatically knew who it was. Ben (my assignment) was a tall and scrawny whiteboy that was getting picked on by Draydins. The monsters who we protected children from. They have a form of a regular kid, a grownup, and are freakishly strong, but not the smart fortunately. This was a time for A-O (alpha-omega) but just than Maria stopped me. Another Phantom. "Pyro! Your not allowed to use your weapons in broad daylight Especially your shield you know when it's in full form it casts a dark presence that tends to cause chaos!" She was right. The space meteorite that i got the coal from was weird but whenever my shield was in full form it just caused havoc and confuson. My too middle names :). " Release my arm". "Your draining my power." Her power was like mine but instead of heat she radiated a cold and icy presence. Which i H-A-T-E-D. bUT, DON'T GET ME WRONG SHE'S PRETTY AND MY FRIEND AND EVERYTHING BUT HEAT AND ICE JUST DOESN'T GO TO TOGETHER."Fine" i replied, but thats not how i felt. I just had to let it go. Me and Maria took up our trays to the window and the lunchlady hesitated when i handed her my tray. " You okay?" i asked her. " I have been waiting for you Pyro!!!" Thats a double no-no for a Phantom. 1st she called me by my name, second when anybody says they have been waiting for you and you've never seen them!!?!?!?!? HA! " Yessss your time will come!!!" she said. Okay. Was it me or was a i melting the tray? If it was one thing that made me mad, it was insulting me or treating me like i'm not a threat. " Pyro! your making a scene. Your tray is smoking!" Maria yelled in a quiet whisper. " Yes! Your life source is in the grasp of MY fingertipsssss!". Thats it. I triggered Alpha-Omega and as soon as it grew to it's full form it casted a dark glow all across the cafeteria. Complete silence. 6 or 5 poeple stood up. They were who i was looking for. Draydins. I was getting powerful. That wicked lunchlady had triggered it. MY FIRE stage. My pupils were now a blazing fire. The whites of my eyes were pure yellow. I blew smoke from my nose. Steam came out of my ears. AO's presence made it even more intense. Time slowed down. I could here my heartbeat. Maria's heartbeat. Ben's heartbeat. Everything had happened exactly the way I practiced it. My hands were now as powerful as the sun.
