Sonic's P.O.V.
"We're here!" I said happily and walked to Sally's castle. The guards knew me so they let me in. "Just stay close to me. Here everything is perfect. Because Sally's dad actually listens to others and is logical." I rolled my eyes.

"Are you sure they'll help us?" Shadow asked as he looked around.

"I am." I nodded and smiled when I saw Sally. "Hey, Sal!" I walked to her and hugged her tightly.

"Sonic? Is that really you?" Sally laughed softly and hugged back then pulled away when she saw Shadow. "Who's your friend?" She asked in a flirty way.

"That's Shadow." I faked a smile, getting a little awkward that she said that to Shadow. "We need your help with this stupid law." I grabbed the papers and gave them to Sally. "The commander is lying about it."

"So you tell me that with this excuse he's gone away with it?" She raised a brow and looked at me confused."

"Yep. I talked to my mother but she didn't even let me finish my sentence." I sighed. "Will you help us?"

Sally stared at the papers then glanced at Shadow and nodded. "I'll help you." She smiled at him.

"Thank you." Shadow said, his voice showing that he was uncomfortable.

"Great! Can you talk to your father?" I tried to make her look at me, but her eyes were glued to Shadow.

"Sure. Give me a sec." She smiled at Shadow and left. I glanced at him and saw him rubbing his face.

"Sorry about Sally. I'll tell her you're-" I got cut off.

"Your boyfriend. Tell her that we're together." He sighed quietly. "Because I know she won't stop if I tell her that I'm gay."

"Why are you saying that?" I raised a brow.

"Because Rouge's house is across a bar, many drunk girls have asked me out." He mumbled and rubbed his face. "And they wouldn't take a 'no' as an answer."

"She's not drunk." I pointed out and shrugged. "But I don't mind telling her."

"Telling who what?" Sally asked from behind, making me jump and quickly turn around.

"You startled me!" I laughed softly. "So, how did it go?"

"He said he'll help." She smiled at Shadow again.

"Great!" I noticed that Shadow was looking at me, telling me to say it. "Also Sally..." I scratched the back of my neck as I started talking. "Shadow and I are dating..." I smiled sheepishly.

"Wait- Really-? No!" She laughed softly. "I'm sorry if I made it awkward." She looked at Shadow and apologized. Let's forget what happened."

I sighed quietly in relief and nodded. "What are we going to do?" I changed the subject.

"You don't have to do anything. My father will take care of it." Sally shook her head.

"I don't think that's a good idea." Shadow spoke up. "G.U.N. might not be as wealthy, but they are powerful, it'd be better if I helped."

"Excuse me? What about me?" I crossed my arms and lightly glared at Shadow. "I want to help too."

"You can help by staying out of trouble." He looked at me with a straight face. "But I'm sure you'll need help with that." He added, making me lightly blush in embarrassment.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I lowered my ears slightly when Sally started laughing.

"Nothing. Let's just go." Shadow chuckled and shook his head then walked outside.

"We'll see you guys at G.U.N. tomorrow, first thing in the morning." Sally waved at us. "Oh, and you are cute together!" She shouted just before we left the building, making me blush even more.

"Shut up!"
