I Can't Stop Thinking About You

Prologue

EJ knew that he was playing with fire when he and Abigail were here the last time and they both threw caution out the window and gave into the hunger and passion that they both had finally let go of and they were able to give each other everything that they couldn't put into words. He let himself enjoy himself by not rushing and letting himself take his time to savor every minute of the time he had with her before everything goes back to normal.

He knew that he shouldn't have let things get this far but once his lips touched hers he couldn't help himself. He instantly remembered how it felt and how much he missed and wanted to remember how it felt to be with her only this time they could go all the way.

He wanted to make sure that no one knew about his first love and he was determined to do everything in his power to make sure that all that was on his mind was her. He wanted her to know that he cherished that summer they had together and that it was much more than either of them could have imagined or thought and he wouldn't have it any other way because it brought her back into his life and for that he was beyond grateful.

He was determined to make things right and prove to her once and for all that he was finally putting the kids, her and their relationship first.

Meanwhile back at the Deveraux house Abigail has been trying her very best to forget about what happened between her and EJ when they were stranded on Smith Island for those first couple of hours and all they had started to do was talk and then it led them to start confiding in one another which only made them more uncomfortable to let them at ease with one another. In a way that they haven't felt in a very very long time.

She had thought that she had let go of her feelings for him a long time ago but deep down inside her heart she knew that what they shared was true and honest. She had hoped that there time apart was just going to be because he was racing but she was very wrong. It was because his father had threatened him to end their relationship so he could start dating none other then her former aunt by marriage Sami Brady.

She had to admit that it was kind of exciting and fun at the same time. Getting the chance to take a risk and live on the dangerous side for a while and do things differently for a little while.  She didn't see things leading to this and to be honest if she had to go back and do things differently she wouldn't because she would live to regret not taking the chance on finding out where her destiny led to.

She was happy that this happened but there was a small part of her that knew that there was going to be a point some time in the very near future when EJ was going to tell her straight out that what they had is over and that no matter how he felt about her that he had to follow through with his commitment to Sami and the kids.

She took a couple of deep breaths before she got off of the ferry and made her way onto the decks heading towards the cabin walking towards the door to open the door and is surprised to see him standing right in front of her.

"EJ, why did you want to see me?"

EJ reaches out taking her left hand in his guiding her inside the cabin.

"I brought you here because I know that your upset about me telling you not to call me anymore. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I know that I should be regretting everything that happened between us but I can't do that. I've been doing that for a very long time and I haven't been able to stop thinking about what happened between us here the last time we were here."

Abigail looks into his eyes as she feels herself getting lost in his eyes when all of a sudden his lips devour hers while his hands roam her body
as she wraps her arms around his neck.

EJ returns the kiss as he tries desperately to get his jacket off as fast as he possibly can before he pulls back from her so he can try and catch his breath while never breaking her gaze as he reaches out so he can gently stroke her cheek.

"Your absolutely stunning, love. I promise you that this isn't the end of us."

Abigail returns the look as to reaches out her hand so she can stroke his face.

"I appreciate you saying that but you don't have to say that just to make me feel better."

EJ smiles down at her as he gently strokes her face.

I'm not just saying it. I mean it, love. I don't want what we started here to be the end. I know that I said we were a mistake but I didn't mean it. You have my word, love."

Abigail looks up into his eyes both in shock and surprise.

"I don't understand. Who are you and what have you done with EJ?"
