Normal P.O.V
"'Twas then night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicolas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds-"
"Ha! Like I'd ever be asleep on Christmas Eve, no chance! I'm too busy catching Santa Claus!!" A little boy jumped up.
Natsu chuckled at the childish child. "Ooh, have you tried hiding under the Christmas Tree to catch him when he comes down the chimney?"
"THAT'D BE PERFECT!!" The little boy yelled before making a mad dash for the door.
Gray stopped the kid before he could leave. "Woah, now. Sit back down. Your parents will come pick you up in an hour or so."
The boy pouted and plopped back down on the floor.
"Continue Mister Natsu!!"
"Yeah, keep going!!"
Natsu smiled and leaned in closer to the kids. "Let's see...the children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads; and mama in her kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter nap; when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow, gave a lustre to everything below, when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer, with a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick."
"You saw Santa Claus?!" A kid yelled out.
"No, not me. This is a story written by another little boy, who has claimed to see Santa Claus."
"Psh, liar. Santa Claus doesn't exist." A girl said crossing her arms.
"He...doesn't?" A little kids bottom lip was trembling.
"No. He's just some stupid myth. Adults lie to you and your presents are all from your parents. Grow up, kid." She responded with a dead serious face.
The kid bursted out crying as well as a few others.
"Y-You me-ean th-that I'll n-never se-ee Sant-ta Cl-Claus?!" The little boy from earlier stuttered.
"Uh...n-now kids-"
"WAAAAAAAAHH!!!"
"H-Hey, don't cry...uh...Santa Claus is real! Here, I'll go...call him over! He'll be here, just you wait!" Natsu cheered with a smile.
The room went fairly silent with only a few sniffles to be heard.
"Now...I'll be right back." Natsu said and ran for the door.
"You look after them." He whispered to Gray on his way out.
"Uh, w-wait!!"
But it was too late, for Natsu was already far into town.
Gray sighed and turned to face the group of kids.
They were looking at him expectantly, waiting for him to do something.
"Uh..."
All the kids burst out crying again.
"WHERE'S MISTER NATSUUUU?!?!"
"WAAAH, I WANT NATSU!!"
"NATSUUUUU!!!"
"Uh, uh...C-Calm down!! Here we can...uh...why don't we...decorate the Guildhall!!"
The children went silent until they all suddenly cheered.
Gray sighed in relief. "Alright, follow me! The decorations are in the back."
The kids nod and they all silently follow him to the storage closet near the back of the guild.
The second Gray opens the door, a stampede of kids run into the closet coming out with any item they could get their hands on.
They were running around, breaking things and throwing decorations everywhere in crazy patterns without any consideration to how it would look.
"Uh, kids! KIDS!!" Gray attempted to get their attention but it was too loud for anyone to hear him.
He was running around frantically trying to prevent kids from killing themselves but they were all over the place.
"Holy fffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...dge..."
All eyes turn to he doorway, to see Natsu with a sack behind him. His mouth wide open.
"MISTER NATSU!!" The kids cheer as they swarm around him, decorating long forgotten.
"So I talked to Santa, and he told me that if you want to get your present this year, you've gotta have fun. So! I've decided, that we're going to be going out into a field and playing in a kingdom made of ice! Sound fun?"
"YEAH!!" Children cheered.
"Alright, lets go! FOORRRMATION!"
The kids line up in a triangle-like formation with smiles bright as the sun.
They start walking towards the field Natsu told them to go to, while keeping formation. Natsu and Gray stayed behind a bit, watching the back and making sure none run off.
They safely make it to the field and Gray steps forward the make the 'ice kingdom'.
Once he's done he makes and ice bench and Natsu and him sit together while watching the children play.
"You know...you'd make a great parent." Gray told Natsu.
"And you'd make an absolutely horrible one. You crashed and burned in less than five minutes." Natsu chuckled.
"Hey! Those kids are impossible!" Gray pouted.
"They get along just fine with me." Natsu shrugged.
Gray smiled and leaned a little closer to the fire mage.
"Gray! Wh-What are you doing?!" Natsu whisper-yelled.
Gray looked into Natsu's eyes and he couldn't keep it secret any longer.
"I like you..." He whispered so quietly the average person wouldn't have heard him but Natsu's sensitive ears heard every word.
"Y-You what?! Gray...I, uh...I hardly think this is the time..."
Gray smirked. "Is that a no...?"
"No...I, uh...um..."
Gray leaned in closer and kissed Natsu on the lips. It was only for a few seconds, but it was magical.
"Eeeeeeeewwwww!!" The kids said simultaneously.
"Natsu's got a boyfriend! Natsu's got a boyfriend! Natsu's got a boyfriend!!" They began to singsong.
Gray chuckled at Natsu's red face and pecked him on the cheek.
"Ooooooohhh~" They made kissing noises and smushed their lips with their hands.
Natsu eventually smiled and looked over at Gray.
"Fine, I like you too or something like that..."
