Fire burned all around me, smoke stung my eyes and it hurt to breathe. Looking down I counted the souls of the children I had saved, I just needed to find him. Rushing through the burning building I found the golden bear stuck between the rubble as I rushed forwards to help, as I began to pull at the burning wood a sharp pain shot through my side. Jumping backwards I noticed the undead eyes of one of my most hated enemies, the cut on my side stung as it openly bled causing me to wince. The blade he held in his hand glinted purple in the fires light, the sound of creaking above me startled me from my trance. Jumping backwards I only just managed to dodge away from a falling pillar, looking back I closed my eyes knowing I had no choice but to leave him behind. In a desperate effort to protect the souls I had I hid away in my box that had protected me for so long, curling tightly around them I ignored the sound of the building crashing down around us. The security guard had long since fled at least to my understanding which was good, eventually the smoke was too much for even my mechanical lungs and I fell into a state of unconsciousness.
