After having a spot to eat, some soup and then jam scones, Mr Slayden then decided it was time to tackle the Sick man. He gave a polite knock on the door and opened it. The Land Lady was in the room leaning over him. When she noticed him she leaned up and grabbed her cane. "Oh. I was just giving -im his medicine love. I'll be going now,"

"Thank you Miss Buquet," the man in the bed groaned. He looked like death. Sweating and curled up gripping the covers.

"Just you focus on getting better love. I'll bring you some more at tea time," She left the room slowly  hobbling with the stick, and shut the door behind her.

Mr Slayden started to speak, with a voice you might use on a child. "Now Mr..  erm.."

"Collins,"

"Do you know what has happened here in the last day?"

"Roughly, the landlady told me. What do you need sir?"

"I'm a detective. I just need you to answer me a few questions,"

"Oh ok," he coughed into his cover. "But I dont think I'll be that useful,"

"That's fine. Why dont you start telling me a little about yourself,"

"Ermm," he splutters again in weezy coughs. "I'm a Baker and was traveling to Devon for a holiday. I stopped her for the night to rest but I suddenly got I'll and couldn't leave. I got the Landlady to order me some medicine and gave her the money and a little extra for her effort. This illness isn't going away though so I'll have go doctors when the storm passes,"

"Ok," Mr slayden glanced at his side table. There was a glass of water, some bread and what seemed to be some grains of a white powder on the desk. Carefully he asked. "And did you hear or see anything last night,"

"No, I'm afraid not. I dozed off early after taking my medicine,"
He started having a small coughing fit and reached for his water. "Anything else,"

"No that is all. Sorry for disturbing you,"

Then, just as Mr slayden closed the room behind him, Mrs Destìn cane rushing to him. "Oh sir there you are. I. I. I've been robbed!"
