I personally started reading a lot of advice, searching for the right formula to become a good writer at first strike, in order to write all down the paper perfectly at once. (check my dashboard on Pinterest @MyriamJPreal  or read Writers Write blog!)

Actually, the result was that my brain has been overwhelmed by tons of information, struggling to follow everything I was reading, reminding myself what I have should done with characters and then villains and then plot and then turning points and then the moment of the truth... do I already have planned the last one???

That's just an uncontrollable mess growing up in my mind, stopping me to do the things for real.

Then, I realized I was searching for the wrong advice.

First of all, all I need as a beginner wannabe author is good vibes to kill my fears of failure.

You know better than me that writing means sitting alone and write.

And when you are alone, your mind plays bad tricks to you.

Fears of the new, fears to spend lots of efforts without results, fears of failure can stop you from going on.

You don't feel good enough.

The others are better than you.

I got no time.

My life sucks.

These are excuses and what fear wants us to believe.

They stopped me to go on.

As I haven't found yet a place where to talk about what we feel as authors throughout the whole process of writing, if what we experience is the same for each one of us, I feel the urge to create this little space as a diary and something useful to everyone that feels stuck or without motivation or lost in their own mind.

How to finish the damn novel? How to educate yourself to willpower? How to never loose your focus? I got my own solution that I want to share with you and I'm sure you got your own to share.

I believe that if we are together, supporting each other as human beings and writers and spreading positivity, all our fears won't grow up and won't stop us to grow.

I want you to take from this space positive energy for your projects in change for your support to the community.

My idea is that when you feel at your lowest or you don't have enough motivation to go on, you can pick up a chapter or an image that I posted here or on my Instagram account (find me here @myriamjp) and get some fuel for your writing.

All we need in order to achieve our goal in writing is to believe in ourselves and stay positive.
