Damien gives himself a mental pat on the back as he sees Chloe's cheeks turn pink.
He loves knowing the kind of effect he has on her. He loves being in control.
"Wow, this is really good," Chloe says swallowing the bite in her mouth.
"I knew you wouldn't be disappointed."
The rest of their time there is spent eating and making small talk. When they finish their food, Damien throws out the paper containers and returns the trays for both of them.
He needs to make sure he is doing all the right things and creates an impression on her that she won't forget. After all, he has only three weeks left.
He holds the door open for her once again allows her to leave first.
"Thank you for introducing me to this place. I really loved it," Chloe says, turning back to him and giving him one of her smiles.
He watches as her eyes glisten in the sun and the wind gently hits her hair, brushing it against her face.
He subconsciously picks up his hand and brushes away her hair and tucks it behind her ear.
"Just a glimpse of what's to come," he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
She goes still and he sees her breath hiking up.
To make her even more flustered, he lifts the corner of his mouth, giving her the smallest smile before walking away.
No one can resist that charm.
After a few seconds, Damien hears light footsteps catching up to him.
"Um, are you heading back home now?" she asks once next to him.
"Not just yet. There's something else I would like to show you," he says, looking at her from the side.
Her mouth forms and Oh as she turns her head to look at him.
They walk for a few minutes before reaching a park with a large fountain in the center, decorated with lights.
Busy moms make their way through, pushing strollers and lovers sit on the grass, talking and laughing. It is quite a peaceful scene.
Damien notices Chloe look around, unsure of why they are there.
"They screen classical movies here after dawn. I believe today is scheduled for Breakfast at Tiffany's. I thought you might like it," he says with a smile.
Chloe raises her brows, not knowing how to reply.
"Oh... I have never been to an outdoor screening before," she admits.
"Well, there's a first to everything."

8:05 p.m.
They make their way towards the grass area and find an empty place to sit."So, do you do this often?" Chloe asks, tilting her head and looking at him.
"No, I don't really watch films. I rarely have leisure time," he replies looking ahead.
Chloe isn't at all surprised by his response as she is used to seeing how busy her dad is from running a company. She almost feels pity for him knowing he must not have to opportunity to enjoy his life despite being so young.
"What was the first movie you watched here," she asks curiously.
She sees him hesitate before turning to her and monotonously saying, "This will be the first."
Chloe can't help but raise her brows in surprise. She didn't take him for someone sentimental but the more time she spends with him today, the more she begins to feel drawn to him.
Get a grip of yourself.
She gives herself a mental reminder not to get too close to him because she knows one thing is bound to lead to another. The last thing she wants is to get involved with another person that would leave her broken.
They spend the rest of the remaining minutes until the movie screen making casual conversation under the beautifully painted sunset sky.
When the movie is about to start, Damien excuses himself and walks to the food carts by the big white screen.
He returns with a large popcorn, cotton candy and two cola bottles.
Chloe's heart flutters at the sight of him handing the cotton candy to her as her mind races back to all the romantic chick flicks she had watched with Stella. She had always dreamt of doing all these things with Jack... Looking back at the time she spent with him, she realizes he never really did anything out of the ordinary for her.
To Jack, a night spent well included dining at an expensive restaurant and ending it off with sex. Lots and lots of sex. It was more physical and materialistic than sentimental. Chloe begins to question if in fact they were actually the ideal couple or if she was just put under the illusion that they were by Jack.
"Hi everyone!"
Chloe's thoughts are interrupted by the man in front of the white screen, introducing the movie. "I am Luke. For those of you who don't know already, today we are screening Breakfast at Tiffany's. It is a classic film loved by the young and the old alike. Hope you all enjoy your time here tonight!"
Once he moves away from the screen, the lights around the movie watchers are dimmed and the projection begins.
9:10 pm
Luke, the movie screening member, makes an appearance again and says "We will take a short intermission break. The movie will start exactly in 10 minutes so please be back on time!"Everyone begins to talk about the film and some leave their seating area to go to the restroom.
"What do you think of it so far?" Damien asks grabbing her attention.
"I like it so far," she says with a smile.
The cool night breeze sends shiver all over her body and she brings her knees up, hugging herself to keep herself warm.
"Are you feeling cold?" Damien asks in his casual, cool tone.
"A little bit," she admits. "But I'm okay." Chloe wishes she had worn something a bit warmer or at least brought a cardigan with her.
"I will be back shortly," Damien says rising from the grass.
"Where are you going?" Chloe asks looking up at him.
"To fetch something." That's all he says before disappearing into the dark streets across the park. Chloe sits there confused, wondering why he left so suddenly.
To pass time, she picks up her phone and looks through her notifications only to find 15 messages from Stella.
She smiles to herself looking through the messages and texts her back.
Chloe: Calm down. I'll tell you everything when I get home.
Sent 9:13 p.m.Chloe sits the remaining break time munching on the popcorn and occasionally looking the way Damien left to see if he is coming.
Just before Luke announces the movie is starting again, she hears footsteps approaching her.
"Here." She looks up to find Damien holding something out to her.
"What's this?" she asks, reaching her hand out cautiously.
"You were cold so I went to my car and grabbed this," he says.
Chloe unwraps the folded black fabric only to see a hoodie.
She looks at him a little stunned, unsure of how to react. When Damien sees her looking up at him confused, he sits down next to her and takes the hoodie back to cover her with it.
Chloe's heart beats faster and she feels butterflies in her stomach.
Stop it. Stop it. He's just being friendly, she repeats to herself.
