The two of them eventually to fell asleep under the cherry tree. It was a comfortable air. Fresh but not to cold. And their position was eventually very comfortable even though more for Kassie than for Henry. But through it all they slept a few hours in exactly that position. Not bad if they wouldn't have managed to sleep until the sun was already on the horizon. The sky was pink as Henry woke Kassie concerned. It looked wonderful and they could've spent hours watching it but the fact that night was approached and both their parents didn't knew where they both were was rather bad.

"Oh shit we need to get home" She said panicking completely and standing up faster than any soldier. It was late summer so it wasn't chilly outside yet but the cold breeze from the east made it uncomfortable slowly. Night was approaching and it was visible more and more with every second. They both got on their horses in matter of seconds as they luckily didn't untied theirselves. It would've meant running for the two teenagers and Kassie was rather bad at running. She was near an panic attack as she imagined her parents kicking her out already. The village wasn't far luckily. As she knew that her house was just 400 feet away as she started to giggle like stupid.

"What?" Henry asked in confusion but he still smiled at her laugh since that was an noise he could listen to all day.

"We're fucking stupid and I love it" She just mumbled as she dismounted her horse to walk the rest since it wasn't far anymore. "My parents are going to freak out. They have to met you soon, I can't keep my biggest secret from them" She snickered to herself looking towards him with her big eyes.

"I'm not a secret" He said sulking to himself as Kassie pecked his cheek.

"Sleep well" She said as she chuckled at his red cheeks before walking her horse towards the stable. He smiled to himself before he started his way towards the warm embrace of his own foster home. Kassie hurried to get the gelding ready for the night and put him into his stall before walking towards the kitchen that was connected with the stable.

"Were have you been young girl? We were sick" Her mother said suddenly as she appeared on the kitchen table from nowhere making Kassie jump towards a closet. Kiara lit a small candle making her realize that Matthew sat there as well. She breathed out in relief as it wasn't actually an angry rat that appeared from the dark. A few nights back she came back from Josie's and a rat attacked her in the stable and rats really were her least favorite animals.

"How long have you sat there?" She asked as she started to relax again. But she started to sweat badly. One hand ran to her hair finding it messy. It was always a little messed up but now it probably looked like she had a fight with an raccoon.

"Some time. Do you know how late it is already?" Her dad asked looking at her judging her. "I knew that this boy wasn't just your friend"

"No right because he's my best friend. We have known each other since I came to the orphanage. He was taken from his mother very young since she didn't took care after him" She explained slightly annoyed from her parents concern.

"So you try to tell us that he is just a friend when you come home late with your hair a mess?"

"I fell asleep and just woke up" She finished sick of the fighting walking away towards the stairs.

"Come back here!" Her mother yelled as she just groaned going up the stairs to her rather large room.

"Leave her being" Matthew mumbled as he took a drag from his cigarette.

"Why Matt? She's a teenager we need to protect her now more than ever. She's not like the other's. She's not stupid like Josie or Gabriella. She could be blinded by a boy but nothing else. I remember how you were at that age. She gonna come home pregnant some day" She said worried as she sipped her gin.

"Just fucking and fighting" Matt chuckled as his eyes fixed with the ceiling his mind filled with memories.

"Yes and how can you tell me not to worry?" Kiara sipped her alcoholic drink again almost aggressivelyY

"Because she makes her own mistake and we can't decide for her. She's our babe and we should want the best for her no matter what" Matthew was rather drunk.

"Yea you grew up like that and you're real fucking awkward" Kiara said as she stared onto the table.

"I love you too darling" He snickered to himself."But you know she's clever after all. She wouldn't fall for anyone"

"She's just a child Matt. You know Anna told me that this boy is seventeen" She slammed her fist onto the table staring him deep in his blue eyes."Seventeen" Her voice was just above a whisper.

"You cannot treat her like she's made of glass. Because if you hold glass to tightly it'll shatter" Matthew said well choosing his poetic words.

"I'm just so scared" She said more to herself than to anyone. "She's our little girl"

"I think it means a lot that you say it like that" He mumbled admiring his wife.

"But am I wrong? She's our child we can't lose our connection to her because of a stupid boy" Kiara mumbled while Kassie watched the stars from her large metal bed. Her mind was still racing around Henry. It all seemed so unreal that she eventually questioned that it wasn't just a dream. But actually felt so real. Just the slight goosebumps on her skin when she thought about him made it seem like it actually happened. And the memory of the fire underneath her skin when she had made herself comfortable on him. And how his smile made her inside heat up with joy. And how he was still the person she trusted the most in the whole world after years of separation.
