I was in the doctor's office when Dr. Jones came in with my results. She said, "Mrs. Jackson, you're pregnant. With twins." I silently screamed when she handed me my babies' first picture. I was so happy. I just did not know how to tell Percy. I went home and worried about it until he got home from work.
Before he came, I thought of a way to tell him. I put a letter addressed to him on the counter and went upstairs. When he came in he said, "I am home Wise Girl." "Hey Seaweed brain." my voice a couple notches higher than usual. Percy did not seem to notice. I heard him open the letter and heard him gasp. I came downstairs and I saw tears in his eyes. "Is this true Beth? Please be true." I nodded I couldn't speak he wrapped me in a hug we stood there for a long moment. I never wanted it to end.
