Excitement coursed through me as I watched cars passing by the bus I once saw sitting out on the old road, broken down. Having fixed the community center and saving the town's name from the Joja Corporation with the help of the Junimos, I had decided to visit my family out in the city.

However, finding someone to watch the farm while I would be gone was not an easy task and took quite a while before I finally found someone.

Surprisingly, Demetrius was the one who offered, saying he wanted to observe crops and animal development for research. I gladly accepted, allowing me to finally leave without a worry that my farm would return to the shambles it once was after my Grandfather passed away.

The visit turned out to last two months since I missed my family and friends so dearly. Staring out of the window from the bus, I could see the small charming town. I smiled at the memories flooding through my head, including the day I had arrived at the small old-fashioned town.

I had gotten off the bus and went around to greet al the townspeople. My eyes had to take a double-take as I saw the beautiful man that I have loved for 3 years now, Alex. Just thinking of his name made me giddy, I couldn't wait to jump out of the bus and run into his arms.

I had decided long after I left the town that I would confess to Alex the day I returned, which is today. I couldn't help but stare out of the window and space out, fantasizing what might happen before a terrible realization hit me, what if he doesn't want me?

Casting that thought aside, I stared at the front of the bus to find Pam honking the horn and Pam grumbling at the car in front before stopping at the town's bus stop. I jumped out of my seat and thanked Pam before running out to the house, I remembered so well as I had visited so many times just to see his beautiful smile.

My excitement dropped however when I saw the event ongoing in front of me, dropping to my knees and holding in all the tears that were threatening to fall as I stared at the sight in disbelief. In front of me was a wedding, but not just any, it was Haley and Alex's wedding.

Of course, why had I been so stupid to not notice it before, the way that Alex looked at me. It was of love and admiration of a friend, nothing like how he looked at the blonde-haired beauty in this current moment.

Everyone, except for Pam, seemed to notice my presence as they cheered me on for 'rushing to make it to Alex's wedding'. Still shocked and heartbroken, I silently sat in the front row to watch the exchange of rings.

I allowed tears to fall as I saw their happy faces. One, in particular, seemed very happy, they looked perfect together. As much as I wanted to be angry and resent the idea of them together, rip them away from each other and selfish put me in Haley's shoes, I couldn't. I couldn't help but be happy for the two newlyweds that looked so happy like they just won all the happiness in the world.

Unconsciously, a smile spread across my face as I started cheering them on. Everything would be alright because the one I love is happy, maybe not from me, but he is happy nonetheless, which makes me happy.

This was my conclusion as I ran to Alex and gave him the biggest hug I could muster at the reception before congratulating them. I was about to leave the crowd to go see the chickens that I had missed that deserved my love and attention before I was called back by Alex.

Confused, I turned around to ask him what was wrong. He shoved a microphone in my hand before grabbing my hand an dragging me to the front of the townspeople. Alex muttered a small 'good luck' before walking back to Haley and holding her hand.

How the heck am I supposed to just make up a speech? I panicked but soon calmed down as I realized that Alex was gonna rue the day he gave me a microphone in front of an audience on such a big day.

With a huge grin that looked creepily like the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland, I congratulated the couple before speaking about all the embarrassing things both Alex and Haley had done. I voiced all the cherished memories I had for the two and realized that I was going to be just fine with only my chickens.

As I wrapped up the speech, I couldn't help but make a quote that I had somehow remembered from Robert Fulghum, "We're all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness–and call it love–true love.", with that I left the crowd once again and headed toward my long-awaited chickens. I reminded myself for the third time that day that everything was going to be alright because I was surrounded by happiness and that happiness made me happy.
