Link had grown up in the Kokiri Forest all his life, never leaving the safety of its leafy borders. He believed, like the rest of the Kokiri, that if he did leave, he would die. That is, until one fateful day when he was called upon by the Great Deku Tree to save the land of Hyrule. With the aid of his fairy companion, Navi, Link set out to save Hyrule from destruction. He waged his battles, not only across Hyrule, but across time itself. Along the way, he met a beautiful young woman named Malon. She was the local ranch hand at Lon Lon Ranch, run by her and her father, Talon.
