I stand in front of the mirror, a bottle of pills clutched in my right hand. I stare down at my neck. Nothing but bruises. I immediately look away, slightly terrified of the view. It wasn't the first time I was going to be doing something like this.

My pale body wasn't strong enough to bare anything, but this was all I could do, to escape my current situation. I quickly toppled five pills onto my hand and grabbed a glass of water next to the sink.

In just three seconds, the pills were consumed and so was the glass of water. I knew I had about half an hour before I got completely sick and started to puke. It was a routine now. I didn't have a choice.

I rushed out of the bathroom and tiptoed to my room, in hopes of escaping my enraged father. I slide through the small opening and shut the door immediately.

I didn't have enough time. My eyes were going to swell up and my body was going to give up on me. In pain, I reach out to my bag and grab my earphones. I plug them in and try to put myself to sleep.

The alarm kept blaring on the bedside table. I got up with a sudden jolt but regretted it as the affects of the pills were still prevalent. I quickly stand up and hold on to the headboard of the bed. I take in deep breathes and ignore the pain in my stomach. I quickly wash up and let myself get all the toxic medicine out of my body.

School wasn't far. It was about a ten minute walk, which would be easy for those who weren't under the influence of pills. I hesitantly step out of my house, leaving my father alone with my mother, with his hands latched onto her neck.

I dart to the bus stand located in my neighbourhood and wait patiently until the bus comes around.

After about 3 mins, a yellow bus comes to a halt infront of me and and I sigh in relief, ensured that I wasn't late to school l. I quickly get on the bus and walk towards the back, earphones plugged in, in hopes of escaping any interactions others hoped for.

School wasn't that great. I didn't have any one there but it wasn't something that honestly bothered me. I just needed to get Junior Year and Senior Year over with. I needed to escape Maryland, my parents and everyone else in my school.

After about 4 hours, the school bell rings and people rush down the hallway, towards the canteen. It was during these times when I realised how eager people were to consume food.

I grab an apple and a juice box of the catering table and make my way towards the benches placed outside the canteen. It was a habit, I would always eat alone and it didn't really bother me.

3  hours  later ~~

It was torture, being under the influence of medicinal drugs, not prescribed. My body hurt and I couldn't even lift my head through out class. But luckily the torture ended when the final bell rang.

I had to get to work.

I walked at a quick pace towards the school doors. Right next to the school's parking lot  was a bike with a brunette furiously texting on her phone.

A small smile built on my face and I rushed towards her. " Hey Harp," I whisper in her ears , grabbing the helmet set beside her.Her face lit up in happiness and she quickly hugged me.

Harper Woods, my only friend. But I would never complain because she was the sweetest thing. I was so grateful for her existence.

A waitress job isn't that easy. Imagine being forced to be kind towards someone you despise. See, that's me. A couple people at my school knew about my job, so they would purposely walk in, time to time, order something, spill it 'by mistake' and then just rush off, leaving me to pay for whatever they had ordered.

But it wasn't that often, thankfully. Unfortunately for me though, my bad luck didn't end there.

During my shift at the café, there is always a guy standing outside, starring at me. He was blonde and was in his late 20's. Even when I walked out of the café, he would stare at me and follow me till the Central Mall.

He was here today, but this time, he seemed to have other intentions. He opened the door and barged in with a smirk on his face.
His presence terrified me.

I hesitantly walk towards him and place a menu card by him. He was the only customer today.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him, gripping onto my waist. In frustration, I pull away from him, trying to escape his grasp. He kept moving his hand further down,  towards my thighs. I needed to escape. NOW.

Just when I was about to scream, a figure entered the café. I was saved.

I quickly scram away from his grip and run towards the management desk and grab my notepad. I walk towards the booth the figure sat in. I place a menu card on the table.

The figure stood up. Before I could say anything, he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. Unsure of what was happening, I hesitated and flinched a-bit.

"I'm just doing this to save your ass," he said, placing his hands on my face.

His voice. It was so familiar. In curiosity, I look up towards his hoodie. I wanted him to remove the hovered part over his head so I could see his face.

Why did he seem so familiar?

Right when I was about to reach for his hoodie, he pulled my face closer to his and my eyes suddenly made contact with a pair of hazel one's. Those eyes, they were so captivating. But the owner of them terrified me.

Aaron Johnson.

I pulled my hand away from his grip. There was no way something good was going to come out of his presence in the café.

I made contact with his intimidating eyes and immediately darted my vision away. I didn't have the strength to even fight him as the affects of the pills hadn't warred off yet.

He pulled his hoodie down and swiftly pulled me closer. I stare at him in terror.
What the hell is happening?

Before I could even question him, my mouth was covered with two fingers and on those were a pair of dark pink lips.
