Overall Anah was stunning captivating many men's eyes. Anah was never a girly girl. she never had an interest in the manicure, girls talked about or the new lipstick that recently came to India

''Anah, my child come over here,'' Kari said.
Anah sat on the dusty ground. and placed her hands near her mother's duvet. ''Yes, Ammi'' Anah said.
her mother coughed and slowly took her shaking hands and held her heart as she coughed.
Kari then took her shakey hands. and placed them on top of Anah's hands, '' You've grown.'' Kari said. in her croaky voice.
''of course mother'' Anah said. while smiling,
'' Now it's the time for me to go. and I have to say this to you,'' Kari coughed while clutching her heart.
''12 years ago. when I had you I knew that God saved you for a reason. my prayers were accepted for a reason. Emma might be older than you. but now as you know she has now become disabled. and I ask you to take care of her. and her daughter. and your younger brother Shahid. if you didn't take care of them then you're no daughter of mine. ill never rest in peace in my grave until I know they are being taken care of. I leave this responsibility to you Anah. '' Kari said.
''Don't say that mother. you're gonna live, you're going to see baby shahid grow up. please don't leave us, MOTHER...'' Anah broke down. Anah didn't know she was crying. until salty drops made their way to her lips.
Kari smiled at her daughter gently and patted her hands. '' Wash your face, and go to sleep beta'' Kari said.
Anah Washed her face. and wore her torn scarf. her hair showed despite trying to cover it. Anah prayed to god that her mother will heal from her sickness.
Time skip ~
Anah woke up in the morning and heard the birds chirping and the radio had a song playing. She smiled happily as she walked to the kitchen. Anah helped her mother cutting the onions. Kari sang and hummed with the song that was playing. Anah sat alongside her mother baking chapati. while they both sang and swang their heads side to side. ''Amir, Shahid, Breakfast is ready!'' Kari said.
Kari sighed ''Your brother came at dawn yesterday didn't he?'' Kari said.
Anah smiled hesitantly and said '' uh What? ill call Shahid.'' Anah Stomped to her father's room angrily. ''why that little r£g** '' Anah muttered under her breath. ''HEY you wake up challo jaldi, wake up,'' Anah said as she slapped her brothers head.
''ayyy, you idiot let me sleep'' Shahid said. and he rolled himself in the blanket like a worm.
''if you didn't wake up now ill take your Chocolate. I know where you hide it.'' Anah whispered evilly as she smiled. Shahid's eyes widened. as he heard his sisters words. and screamed '' I'm up Am up '' Kari heard her son's Scream and chuckled. (Chocolate was a privilege at that time especially because Anah and her family were poor. )
Anah smiled with victory, as she went out of her father's room and sat next to her. the family ate breakfast peacefully. after washing the dishes. Kari washed her hands with water and what was left from the soap they bought. ''come beta sit'' Kari said. as she signaled to the place in front of her. Anah sat in front of her mother. Kari parted Anah's hair and poured coconut oil. over Anah's hair and massaged it as she put Anah's hair into a neat bun and secured it with an antique Pearly clip. '' Go out and sell these. perhaps one of those young lads will see you and take a liking to you '' Kari winked at Anah. '' cant wait for my second grandchild, dear'' Kari said.
Anah blushed and laughed '' Oh mother you're going to have to live a long time for you to see that''
Kari just gave Anah A sad smile and went to prepare lunch. Anah took the plastic bag With her family biscuit. Anah skipped Around the neighborhood tracing the bricks as she walked.
''BUY ONE '' ''BUY ONE ONLY FOR A RUPEE'' Anah said. ''Good morning Mr. Ranbeer '' Anah greeted the broker that lived near them. ''Morning kid'' the broker said as he eyes her. she saw an odd emotion flash in his eyes. but she couldn't fathom what was it that she saw in his eyes.
Anah passed by the creek and sold some biscuit to the tourists. But as she sold the biscuits she bumped into a wall. but once she looked up. she realized that it wasn't a wall but a handsome boy looking back at her. she shyly composed her self. and looked at him the guy checked her out. and they passed each other. each one of them heading to their directions.
Time skip ~
Anah made her way back home and opened the creaking door. Anah went to her mother's duvet
to show Kari how much money she got from today's selling. ''ammi look how much I got '' Anah whispered. to her mum ''ammi? '' Anah said questioningly Anah shook her mum but her mum never woke up ''MOTHER!!!'' Anah shouted. ''What's wrong Anah'' Emma said as she was trying to reach her sister with her stick. ''ITS MUM'' Anah said. Anah rushed to her father. Kari then was rushed to the hospital. Anah and her family waited outside with their heads on their hands.
the family got up as the receptionist came and said ''I'm sorry sir the money isn't enough''
Anah took her shaking hands and gave the money that she had earned today to the receptionist.
