Both male adults stared at one another, red eyes staring into hazel eyes, never breaking contact with one another before Raven broke the silence.
"What are you doing here, Ozpin?" He gripped the handle of his katana firmly as he stared at the old headmaster of Beacon Academy.
"I've come here for an opportunity. More specifically, for the one behind you." He gestured behind Raven, the latter turning around seeing (Y/N) peaking out of her tent with Kurai perched upon her head, growling at Ozpin.
"(Y/N)! I told you to stay inside and not come out!" Raven scolded.
"I am inside!" She yelled back.
Raven sighed and pinched his nose before opening his eyes. "Come on out here."
(Y/N) hesitantly stepped out of her tent and walked next to her uncle, her heels digging into the dirt covered ground before standing next to her, Raven placing a hand on her shoulder.
"(Y/N) has done well here, having an ACTUAL home. Unlike THEM. She has also done well under my guidance."
"I'm well aware of that, but I've come to offer her a place at my school." Ozpin got straight to the point.
Raven wanted to laugh. He really did. "And what makes you think that's the best? So you can rope her in?!"
"Uncle, it's fine..." (Y/N) whispered.
"No! It's not "fine"! You could get hurt or worse: killed!"
Raven and Ozpin had a heated debate, with Raven being the heated one shouting. Finally, he relented and would let his niece attend Beacon only at the promise no harm would come to her and that her 'family' wouldn't be allowed to see her.
Another day, another student recruited...
