Chapter Ten: Cora

I woke up in a field. I looked around confused. I stood up cautiously. I heard a branch snap somewhere behind me. I jumped and turned around quickly. I sniffed but couldn't find a recognizable scent. I heard a few more branches snap. I felt a weird power of beings. I counted six of them. People started jumping out of the trees at me. They had red eyes but not like mine. They're skin was pale in color. They had long sharp teeth like canines but they were different. I looked at them and realized they were Vampires.
I got down and jumped at one. It moved faster then anything I have seen. They surrounded me as I looked around at them all. "Let me out and I will help you." I heard the small she-wolf in my head. *how?* She laughed. "Let go. Close your eyes and relax." I sighed thinking about it. *How will I know you will give me control back?* she growled. "We dont have much time! Do u trust me or not?" I did as she said and I closed my eyes relaxing. She sent me a vision of my past. *Cora?* I felt a small change. It didnt feel right. I opened my eyes and it was like I was watching from a different body. I felt a more powerful, darker force take over.
All the vampire jumped at once. Cora teleported out of the way as the vampires collided into each other. Cora pounced on two of them ripping ones head off and crushed the other. A female vamp jumped on us sinking her teeth into our shoulder. Cora twisted slightly and yanked the female vamp off. Another vampire came at us from behind. She snapped its neck using our telekinesis. Cora broke into the vampires mind telling her to take off her ring. As she did she bursted into flames from the sun.
Cora laughed to herself. "That was so much fun!" She went deeper into the woods and kept running. She ran till she found a pond. She jumped in washing off the blood on our fur. She climbed out of the pond and a pack of wolves surrounded us. The largest one stepped forward. The others were growling waiting for the command to attack. The largest one circled us and stopped when he came to face us again. "Do you know you have crossed territories mutt?" Cora stood there smiling to herself. "Yes" The wolf growls. "Do you not know the laws for crossing territories without permission?"
Cora stood there head held high. "I know the laws beta but do you?" She spit out the word beta like it was poison. The wolves growled getting antsy. The beta growled at them to shut up. "Of course I know the laws I am a beta!" He growled at us showing his teeth. Cora smiled widely to herself. Growling she flashed the beta our red eyes. "Then why have you not greated an Alpha with respect!" The beta looked shocked and took a step back. "I'm sorry Alpha, but I dont treat inner wolves the same. All they want is to have control and to kill until they are trained. And obviously you have not been trained.
Cora growls loudly. The wolves behind her cower and submit but the beta does not. Cora tilts her head. "Confident for a beta. If I was here only to kill you'd all be dead by now. I believe it or not came to warn you that vampires are on their way here. I killed some a ways back. The beta looked taken back. "You? You killed a vampire? That's impossible. They are too fast for any wolf and always in the trees." Cora smiled more. "I AM THE CHOSEN ONE!" She yelled for all to hear. Everyone began to laugh. Cora growled louder. "I am and I can prove it!" They laughed harder. "Please do, Alpha." The best said threw laughter.
Cora picked up a tree that was laying on the ground using telekinesis and teleported behind the beta. "Believe me now!" She growled. The beta jumped turning around. "So it's true." The beta looked amazed. Cora nodded. "You must meet the Alpha of the blood crescent pack. He'd be pleased to meet the chosen one." Cora follows the pack back to the pack house. The pack shifted and the beta came back with clothes to change into. I fought Cora for control but she was much more powerful then I. Cora came out of the woods. She had long black hair, silver eyes, she wore a black tank top and grey shorts.
The beta greated her with a smile and took her inside. The Alpha was in his office. The beta knocked on the door and waited. He opened the door. "Who the fuck is this and why is she here?" He growled at his beta. The beta flinched bowing to his Alpha. "She is an Alpha and also the chosen one, Alpha." The Alpha looked at Cora again. "Who is your human mutt?" Cora rolled her eyes and growled. "Does it matter? She gave me control. I own her now."
The Alpha growled at Cora and she kept her head held high challenging him. "How dare you come into my territory and challenge me! Chosen or not I am the Alpha of this territory and you will respect me! Return your human her control NOW!" The Alpha used his Alpha tone and made Cora flinch and the beta crumpled to the floor on his knees submitting. Cora collapsed unconscious as she returned me the control.
I woke up in a dungeon chained to the wall. I growled into the darkness. I heard footsteps approaching. "Your awake! Ok. We have to be quiet and fast. I'm going to get you out of here." The beta unlocked the cell door and entered unlocking the chains around my wrists. I rubbed my wrists once the chains were off. "What happen?" The beta ignored my question. "Why did you let your wolf take control?" I followed him out of the dungeon to the woods. "It was either that or get killed by vampires. I didnt know she wouldn't give me my control back." The beta stopped and I ran into him. "How could you not know? You should know by now!" He growled. I explained to him about how my father never told me about being a werewolf and not knowing about the supernatural world.
We got back to my territory and he stopped. "I have to go back and tell the Alpha you escaped. Sorry to hear bout your father. Good luck Alpha Colin." He went to leave but my pack surrounded him. Jacob and Lucus came out of the trees. "Where the hell have you been? Who the hell is this?" Lucus grabbed my arm pulling me to him. I pulled away and Jacob growled. Jacob stood blocking the beta from leaving. I explained to them what happen and the beta returned me home. Jacob let the beta go after thanking him for my safe return. Lucus took my back to the house.
I stopped at the porch. "What are you doing here? Why did you come back?" Lucus looked surprised. "Your gonna let your wolf tell you what's wrong and right after she did this?" I took a step back. "No I'm doing what I think is right. I know what I felt. And you were keeping Jacob away from me but keeping him close enough because my wolf would go crazy but tricking me to believe she was going crazy over you so you could be my mate!" I growled and ran into the woods to find Jacob.
I ran right into him and stumbled a little till he caught me. "Sorry.." He smiled down at me. "Its alright." I steadied myself and looked up st Jacob unsure what to say. He looked at me searching my eyes for something. I stood on my toes to reach up and plant my lips hard against his. My wolf jumped up and down howling with joy. Only one word going threw my head. "Mate."
