Chapter 3: Learning the Ropes

Ladybug jumped throughout the city trying to get the hang of her new super powers. Luckily for her she had the encouragement of her guardian wolf, whom she still had no idea what to call her. She was wonderful and was truly the light in this dark abyss she was living. Already she didn't know what she would do without her.

"Ladybug! Be careful!"

Quickly the girl regained her mind and moved out of the way before she swung into another building, yes another. It was a lot harder than it looked.

The wolf jumped up to her side and gave her a mother's glare.

"You need to be more careful! No spacing out when you are swinging through a city got it." She said in a worried but stern tone.

It was honestly like she had a second mother now. One that was able to know all of her secrets even if Ladybug , or Marinette didn't want her to.

"I'm sorry."

She then felt the warmth of the wolfs fur as she nuzzled her head by Ladybug's neck.

"It's fine I just worry too much is all. This is new for both of us."

The two looked around and heard another set of screams in the distance. The wolf stood up immediately and glared at the distance. Without looking at Ladybug she went on.

"We need to find your partner now. It seems it's worse than I originally thought."

"Got it." Ladybug then stood up. "Lead the way Ammy." the words slipped out of her mouth.

The wolf looked at her in shock. She didn't think the girl would name her this fast, at least not today.

"Oh I'm sorry! You don't like it do you? It just slipped out but I thought it matched what I did know about you and-"

The wolf shushed her using her tail, sweeping it up against her mouth before bringing it away once the girl was quiet.

"No, I love it dear. Very smart, I knew you had it in you." She said with the utmost praise. "Now let's hurry."

The two then took off closer to the screams, hoping they'd run into the other miraculous on the way.

"Apollo, should we just head to the sound of the people?" Chat asked his guardian.

"Yeah, from the sounds of it she hasn't shown up either. Meaning we might actually run into her on the way." he shouted back.

"Wait how do you know it's a girl?" Chat asked as he watched the lion spring ahead, before taking off after him himself.

"Trust me kid, I know more than you think."

Chat groaned.

"I don't like the sound of that in the slightest."

Chat then heard a chuckle coming from the lion.

"Hey!"

"No worries kit you'll find out for yourself. I'm a guide I can't tell you everything."

"Kit?" Chat grunted.

'Is he always going to refer to me like this?' He thought staring back at the lions blue eyes.

"Lighten up Chat I'm just playing around. It's been a long time since I could joke with another person."

Chat paused.

"Apollo how long have you been like this?"

The lion paused and had a very saddened look on his face.
