The Next day Marta didn't go to school. Her mom didn't go to work. They both stayed in their rooms all day crying.

(I just don't get it, why him?)  Marta was burning up inside. She now hated everyone, especially herself.

Marta finally go the courage ring to school on Thursday. But they still had to take finals.

"Marta? What's wrong?" asked Ms. Hogwarts face. "Her dad died!!!" yelled Chris. Everyone hated Chris because he always blurted out personal things about other people.

"Really? When?" she asked stupidly. "Last week." she said with sadness. "I don't wanna talk about it."

"You can always go to the office if you need too." Ms. Hogwarts face always tried to be nice to kids, but with her ugly face and hot breath there was no way to look at her straight.

After School, Marta went to her little zone in the basement. When she was little, her and her dad would go there and be there all day. They would laugh, play boardgames, and eat here favorite food, Won Tons. But now she was alone. Atleast she had Mr. Liam, her cat.

"You don't think It was on purpose did you?" she asked Mr. Liam. He looked like he had seen it face-to-face. He let out a soft meow. "And I lied to him about doing finals that day."

Don't beat yourself up he said in a grumble.

Marta couldn't take it anymore. She got up and ran out the back door as fast as she could. She ran and ran and didn't turn back. She didn't know where to though.

"The park." she whispered in anger.

When she got there she stood on the bench and yelled at the top of her lungs.

She calmed down, then sat. Then she saw a dove in a tree.

"You're grieving too, huh?" she asked the dove. Then she saw it. The dove was crying. That made her cry.
