She Is Mine

Chapter 2

Kali was feeling so differently after recent events, her personality was thriving due to the rollercoaster of emotions that she had endured.
She was looking forward to a smoke, she hasn't sparked up since the start of the night.

Kali had been smoking marijuana since a teenager, it was the one thing that kept her grounded. 
It increased her dopamine levels perfectly to help weaken her depression, she ate a balanced diet due to its aid in increasing hunger, her dry skin was cured, her sense of humour heightened and was an amazing agent at keeping her chance of getting sick lowered.

Kali went out into the garden, she walked over to the old Shed/Clubhouse. This was for the smokers as Lucy detested smoking with a passion.
Kali looked down at a text on her phone, to see it was from her Sister Shira.

***Hey Sis, was really great to have a laugh and a night out. Can't remember when I danced that much! I will pick u up in the morning… maybe early afternoon... sksksksks!! Oh and Tell them two Gdnite for me! Gnite Love yooouu**

Kali smiled to herself, she would go crazy without that girl! Shira was the best Sis she could have asked for.

"Come on you put that away! No screen checking for rest of the night please?!"

Tyler was right she thought.

After a few smokes with Tyler. Kali was relaxing eventually and letting go.

"So you know you've always been my best Girl, I told you that prick didn't deserve you that night in prom...you didn't listen then.."

 "Yes, ha-ha, Mr I told you soooo!!! Yes okay you can be Mr Know-it-all… Good night Ty"

Kali decided she was too intoxicated to stay and be single around Ty for the first time in years, especially as he'd touched her thigh..and she liked it.

As she took a step away he grabbed her hand, pulled her close and looked down at her.

"Don't get back with him. Please not after all that happened, we both know his capabilities. Go up now and have some sleep. You ain't had any the last year. Time to catch up Girl!"

Kali was frozen to the spot like she was under his spell..she quickly snapped back though

"I know, your right Ty… Goodnight"

They disconnected by Tyler ruffling her blonde curls into a mess and turning back to his phone as she finished her smoke.

Whilst inside the warm of the house Kali went straight up to Lucy's room. She was ready for bed after her night out as she hadn't stopped dancing. Music was always the best medicine for her ever since she was a little girl. 

After debating it with herself she grabbed the wipes to take her make-up off, brushed her hair and got into her comfy lounge pants and baggy band tee ready to unwind.

Once settled she lay on her sofa bed and looked at her phone to check any updates. She went into the folder she had hidden from Lucy. 

There was the photo she had kept to have one last look. It had been taken the night before she had discovered he had been unfaithful. In the frame they both huddled together with cheesy grins and red noses from the cold. He had wanted to take a snap as they were waiting for the taxi to collect them. Her Blue Eyes were glittering back at her looking happy. Then stupidly, Kali peered at the couple as if they were alien to her, scanning round the photo, almost looking for the flaws to appear which she felt were now there. 

Had they been together then? Why would he want a pic with me? Is he even truly smiling? Did he love me? Who else has he been around?

She dumped the phone on her lap and took a deep breath. She was going to go mad with speculation and it was pointless as no confirmation would be given. This was becoming a regular waste of her time having these reflections, as she would always come to the same sad and lonely conclusion over it all. 

In an effort to forget him she got up and went to get a drink from the mini fridge, hoping it would help her. In addition to the drink she put music to play softly from the computer speakers in the corner of the room. 

Soon after Lucy came in all ready for bed, she had thrown her thick black hair into a bun. Her makeup was still on so this meant she was going online on her laptop in bed. She yawned entering with a hot chocolate for them both to enjoy.

"I'm going to go lock the doors and I'm jumping into bed then"

Kali needed to get her beauty sleep, as she had been working long hours that week.

"Don't worry I will do it Hon!!! I really fancy one last smoke before bed" 

Kali got up and stretched out after wrapping her gown around herself to keep warm and cosy. 

"Thankyou saves me running back down and I want to get online before bed"

With that Lucy got into bed whilst Kali got her smokes and house keys to go down as she had planned.

Kali yawned to the cool breeze greeting her in the garden, she stretched as was more than ready for the comfort of sleep. 

If only she knew then, that night was not even close to over…
