— so far away
naegedo kkumi idamyeon naraganeun kkumi idamyeonYoongi whispered the line endlessly to himself, trying to imagine it as the voice of the new boy. He closed his eyes as he replayed the part in his mind, smiling to myself when the boys laugh suddenly rang in his mind. He originally thought of having a female vocalist on the song, but after hearing the boy's voice, he changed his mind. A sudden knock at his door interrupted his thoughts.
"Yoongiii." Hoseok's voice rang from outside the door. Yoongi groaned as he rolled his chair towards the door, unlocking it and opening it just enough to see Hoseok's face.
"What now?" Hoseok dangled bags of take out food in his hands, shooting a bright smile towards his friend.
"I brought food!" Yoongi rolled his chair back, motioning for Hoseok to enter. "Whatcha doin'?" He asked closing the door behind him with his foot.
"Trying to come up with verses for him."
"He agreed?"
"Well.. you see, I kinda got distracted," Hoseok rolled his eyes, handing Yoongi his food, sitting across from his chair on the couch. "No man, you don't understand. He's gorgeous."
Hoseok smiled as Yoongi rambled on about him. Everytime Yoongi looked away, his smile would drop a bit, only to be brought right back when he'd look up. Yoongi's eyes sparkled when he described Jimin's small figure, his perfect proportions that only he laid his eyes on in the doorway. Smiling even wider as he described his voice. Obviously, OBVIOUSLY crushing.
"I thought you didn't have crushes?" Hoseok spoke through a full mouth. Yoongi paused, his mouth agape as if he were to continue speaking. He filled it with food instead of answering. "AHA! I knew it."
"If you saw him you'd act this way too."
"I already do." Yoongi looked up at Hoseok, who's smile slowly began to dissipate as he realized what he said.
"You what?" Hoseok shook his head and laughed.
"Nothing, I'm just agreeing with you," Yoongi nodded and continued eating, Hoseok's heart beginning to pound in his chest. He decided to change the subject. "So about this song, is it done? Or is his part the only thing left?"
"Once I ask, it'll be finished," Hoseok nodded, smiling as he was proud of his friend for this big accomplishment. "How's that routine going?"
"Oh, its good. One of our dancers is injured so we need a replacement. He'll be out for a while and the grand stage is in two months." Yoongi shook his head at the unfortunate news.
"If I knew a dancer I'd tell them about it, but I don't."
Hoseok waved his hand, shaking his head. "No it's fine, I'm sure we'll find someone soon. A lot of people are usually waiting for opportunities to dance for our company."
Yoongi nodded as he placed his containter in the garbage.
— Yoongi reached his apartment building, being careful to close the door softly this time. He usually doesn't care about being quiet when it's late, but it was around 12am and he knew there were people who got up earlier than he did for work.
He made his way down the hall, towards the boy's room. He noticed the door slightly open again, but decided to ignore it and go straight to his room. When he passed, he caught of glimpse of the boy sitting alone on his couch reading a book. He smiled to himself as he rounded the corner.
He stopped when he was halfway up the stairs, turning around and before he could even comprehend his movements, he was standing outside the boy's door. He swallowed and thought about knocking, but his shoe beat him to it, slightly knocking against the door. He closed his eyes and shook his head, yet again making his presence known before he himself wanted to. He heard footsteps approaching, jumping back a bit to prevent the awkward closeness that would come between them if he hadn't of.
The boy opened the door, glanced over Yoongi before smiling at him, cocking his head to the side. Yoongi's heart nearly jumped out of his chest.
"Hello again. Has it become your nightly routine to visit me?" The boy gave a devilishly attractive smile, paired with slightly hazed eyes. Yoongi's knees felt weak. He cleared his throat.
"No, actually I uh, kinda bumped into the door." The boy laughed at him, not believing him.
"Whatever you say. Care to come in for a drink?" The boy's request caught Yoongi off guard. His eyes widened as the boy stepped back, revealing a large, spacious living room area.
"Uh, what do you have?"
"Soju, vodka, wine, champagne. Just about everything," The boy gave Yoongi a smile, drawing him in instantly. He didn't even think twice before entering. "Shoes off at the door." The boy called over his shoulder as he turned the corner. Yoongi watched the boy disappear around the corner, letting out a breath. He noticed a glass of what appeared to be wine on the table where the boy once sat. He must already be tipsy, he didn't seem very interested in him the night before.
Yoongi slipped off his shoes and tried to catch his breath, only for it to get caught in his throat once again when the boy returned with a bottle of Soju in one hand and vodka in the other.
"Which do you prefer?" He asked holding both up, leaning his weight into one hip.
Are you a choice?
"Soju's fine. I have work in the morning anyways." He approached the couch, taking a seat. The boy retrieved two glasses from the kitchen cabinets.
"What's your name?"
"Yoongi, uh, Min Yoongi."
"Nice, I'm Jimin." He gave Yoongi a sweet smile as he set the glasses down on the table, moving his previous one aside. Yoongi watched him closely as he hovered over the table, effortlessly taking the top off the bottle, pouring Yoongi's glass before handing the bottle to Yoongi, who poured his. Jimin plopped down next to Yoongi, resting his arm on the back of the couch, facing him.
Yoongi admired him for a second before facing him. He looked the boy over, from the way his blonde hair fell over his pretty eyes, to the way his equally as pretty legs sat curled up against himself, occasionally shifting. The boy's eyes grew more and more glossy as they drank, his laughter becoming more prominent. Yoongi was beginning to feel tipsy, watching his intake as he knew he had to report to work in the morning.
"I really hate to cut this short but I really have to go." Yoongi began to sit forward, but froze in his place when Jimin rested his hand on his knee.
"Aw man, can't you stay a little longer?" As badly as Yoongi wanted too, he knew he couldn't. But the boy's touch made him feel weak in all the right ways. He shook his head, fighting back the urge to want to stay.
"I really can't, I'm sorry." He lost himself when Jimin moved forward, sitting dangerously close to him. The boy's eyes burned holes into Yoongi's, a very small yet noticable smirk appeared on his face.
"What a shame." Jimin said removing his hand from his knee. Yoongi took the opportunity to stand, the aching in his belly becoming more and more unbearable as he looked down at Jimin, who's eyes were glued onto him. Yoongi shook his thoughts and slipped his shoes back on.
"Nice meeting you." Yoongi said as he grabbed the door handle. He turned around to take one last look at Jimin, nearly locking the door behind him and rushing him when he saw the way Jimin's eyes trailed down his body.
"You too, Min Yoongi."
Yoongi closed the door behind him, sprinting up the steps. The way his name rolled off Jimin's tongue as if it were the first word he ever spoke drove Yoongi absolutely insane. He knew it was the alcohol that have Jimin that effect, but even then, he wished it weren't.
