Chapter 16

When she woke up she had completely forgotten to eat yesterday and it hit her. Jenna had to tame the beast inside her soon so she gulped down two viles. While she was grappling around in her pouches she noticed some were crushed. Her hand came up green and with only two viles left. "Oh no I have about two weeks left too, guess I'll have to start eating dinosaurs" Jenna joked. Then noticed how insane she must seem talking and joking to herself.

Jenna got up on her knees and shuffled over to the puddle she had saw the other day. Looking in she almost screamed and yelled monster but realized it was herself. "Oh my gosh a week running wild and no showers and this is what you look like huh" Jenna said.

Using the blanket she dipped it in water and scrubbed her skin. She did this for like twenty minutes and was finally satisfied with herself.

Packing up everything in the duffel bag then making sure everything was secure. Jenna reached in the bag grabbed a whistle and threw the bag over her shoulder then looked at the which dinosaur whistle she had chosen. The name carved in the side of the whistle said dilophosaurus. Jenna racked her brain for info and came up with carnivore, six meters long, and not as tall as the shantungosaurus but close enough that she could at least get out of the cave safely. Blowing in the whistle she waited and waited.

She had blown the whistle ten times and then it arrived. Just as the information had said. The dilophosaurus had two fins coming out from the top of its head. The top of it was green like the Oregon ducks green and the bottom was dark brown almost like a black.

Jumping down from the cave and onto the dinosaurs back this time being more careful so as not to fall. With a steady spot she blew in a command and the dilophosaurus growled but moved forward.

It had been two hours riding on the dilophosaurus. It was getting uncomfortable sitting in the same place for two hours and tiring just seeing green everywhere. She had gotten used to the action packed days and was getting bored. Jenna wanted something to happen and knew something would, this place is filled with dangerous animals. Heck she's ridding a dangerous one right now that would eat her if she hadn't commanded it to not harm her and do whatever she said.

Jenna was lost in thought when the green beast froze. It started helping and she could tell in its eye that it wanted to turn back. "Let's have a look shall we" jenna said to the dilophosaurus that was now turning its head in a rapid motion.

She blew in the command for it to walk through the huge green wall of leafs. It growled in fury about being commanded to see what was bothering it and not turning away which was what its animal instincts were telling it to do.

When Jenna looked she instantly regretted not listening to the dilophosaurus. For behind the wall was a nest and around the nest was a whole pack of triceratops. They were furious. Their skin was like creamy butter. They had a huge plate around their heads like how a lion has a mane, except these manes were made out of bone so they must've hurt to get hit by one of those no wonder the dilophosaurus was scared and to add on to the stout beast they had a horn on theirs noses and one on each temple. Plus the sharp beaks that are ready to tear any plan. That's right triceratops are herbivores. The longest they get is nine meters but right now the closest one to her was only tall enough for her to reach the whole arm. The animals walked in four legs too.

This was going to be a tough opponent and she wasn't fast enough to search all the whistles to stop them. Plus they probably wouldn't go that far since they were protecting their nests.

The triceratops snorted and scraped their feet against the dirt. They looked like crazed bulls. Jenna had two options charge straight through and catch them off guard allowing her to Slip through the hers or running by a short tree and grabbing the branch while letting the triceratops chase after the dilophosaurus.

Jenna decided to go with the second plans, I mean the dilophosaurus probably deserves it the beast had killed thousands of dinosaur.

Jenna blew in the command and the dilophosaurus took off t like lightning with the triceratops in pursuit. She blew in another command to slow down and run by the tree to the left because she had estimated it to be the perfect height got herself. Jumping up and making sure she had the duffel bag, grabbed on to the tree and winced at the thought of picking out all these splinters.

Jenna felt bad about leaven the dilophosaurus to the angry triceratops. Jenna made sure she had a good grip then swung up with her feet and gripped the branch between her legs then reached up and pulled herself up looking at herself, she saw all the wood in her hair and clothes plus her really hurting hands. While examimg her selfahe couldn't find the duffel bag and looked down it was all the way down there "oh no now I can't call for help with

Jenna sat down and started pulling out the splinters wishing she could just command them to jump out of her skin. When she was a little girl in the village some friends and herself played in the trees all the time. One time she got stuck in the tree and her friend Tony told her to use her hair because it was pretty long even when she was a child. Wrapping her delicate black hair around the rough bark she scales down on her hair crying in pain at the extra weight on her hair. Then she was done and was given a necklace for resourcefulness and Tony too. It was a great day a happy memory in the long forgotten village.

Snapping out of her daze she decided to scale down to each branch using her hair. Whipping her hair around the thick branch she scaled down her hair not even wincing in pain from the extra weight like her little self. "That little self didn't go through the military and all the other hardships" Jenna panted. Going down and releasing her hair she did it to the next branch till she was finally down.

The bag was about two feet away. Running over to it she sat down and looked in half of the whistles were broken even the dilophosaurus whistle was."AW dang it, just what I need less whistles " Jenna said through frustration. Jenna calculated how many days she dad left and came up with about two weeks. "It feels like centuries a go when I went on the time travel trip" Jenna said mournfully.

Throwing the duffel bag over her shoulder and going on with her mission. First though she got out a map and traced down where she has been and all the land. It was hard but she finally got down what looked like a good map.
