Jamaica Khaled
"Nah, you be the one snoring. You be sleeping so hard you be soaking up my shirt, ol wet mouth ass." Jamal said with a laugh. I fell into a fit of laughter while wiping the tears from my eyes.
"I do no slob in my sleep," I said hitting his chest softly.
"Bullshit!" Jamal said pulling me closer. Our faces were so close I could feel his breath on my upper lip.
He grabbed me by chin and pulled me into a kiss, and I allowed it feeling the moment.
I enjoyed days like this. Days where we're not arguing, or have any other drama going on.
I think our problem is we just miss each other too much.
Jamal is a football player for FSU, and I only get to see him when he decides he wants to drive home like today, which isn't too often. He doesn't like flying because he's scared of heights. I'm all the way in Georgia, and he's down in Florida.
The only reason he came to visit this weekend, was because he was planning on staying at college for the summer term. I was hoping he would've came home, but it was whatever at least I got to enjoy him to myself this Saturday.
It's just a lot that comes into play, but it amazes me how we managed to stay together this long. It's been four years since we've been together.
We met when I was a sophomore in high school, and I ended up having Saturday detention with him. How we ended up together? I have no idea because dude is not my type, at all.
He's so lame but it helps that he's cute, I guess.
While we were enjoying our kiss, the sound of somebody clearing their throat made us break away from each other. I looked towards the staircase and saw my dad standing with a mug on his face.
He rarely walked upstairs because he's so heavy, so when he does it throws me for a loop.
"Hey daddy," I said with a nervous smile, running my hand over my hair that was slicked back in a ponytail.
I felt Jamal get stiff, and his eyes began to roam the room to avoid contact with my father. This is one of the reasons I don't see how we ended up together, he let my dad punk him out all the time.
"Hey, Mr. Khaled," Jamal said trying to be polite while taking his arm from around me and I shook my head.
I hate a kiss ass.
"Wussup baby girl? My dad spoke with a smile coming to sit between me and Jamal making Jamal slide over, completely ignoring him.
My dad eyed Jamal for a moment, making Jamal look down at his hands because he was so scared then my dad hit him with a head nod. I couldn't believe he just did that.
"What brings you up here?" I asked trying to make the situation less awkward although, at this point, it was impossible.
"Came to see what was so funny, I hear y'all all the way downstairs." He said mugging Jamal, then he turned his head slowly towards me and smiled like he's innocent.
I giggled at the gesture and looked at Jamal who looked like he was about to piss his pants.
"It's nothing," I assured waving him off and giving him a hug while lying on his chest for comfort. My dad always made me feel secure like nothing could ever happen to me.
"Mhm, how's school?" He asked rubbing my back.
"Good. I got all A's." I responded cheesing. I was proud of myself because I worked extremely hard.
