Taya read over the letter one more time. The ultimate self defence expert? When still couldn't quite understand why she of all people would be let into Hopes Peak. All she really did was survive and get that was considered a talent, apparently.
She just folded the letter and stuffed it into her pocket. She continued to walk down the street, glancing at her phone for directions to the school.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she spotted a man. He had his hands shoved in his pocket and was watching her closely. As she passed him, he ran at her, drawing a knife from his pocket.
She dodged his attack with ease and grabbed the knife from his hand, kicking him hard in the head for good measure. She turned back to her phone without a second thought. Just some idiot after the reward money for killing her.
She turned the corner and looked up at the gates of the school. It seemed to tower above the city, making itself known to everyone who passed by. "Hopes Peak, the grand symbol of hope."
Taya looked up to see a boy with white hair staring up at the school in awe. As she watched him, she saw some kind of fire ignite in his eyes as he admired the building. Ah, so he's insane, she thought briefly.
She continued inside and made her way up to the front door. As her hand touched the handle, her vision started to your and swirl together. Some sort of drug. Probably a hallucinogen. Must have been in that coffee I got. Those were he last thoughts before everything went black.
She was a door in front of her, just a plain wooden door. She walked up to it and placed her hand on it. Either this isn't a hallucination or that hallucinogen was stronger than I thought. She pushed the door open anyway and looked around.
She was in a room with other teenagers, all about the same age as her. The door closed behind her and she thought she heard the faint sound of a lock. She looked around the room. There were fifteen other people gathered in the room. The door then opened and a boy with brown hair entered.
Okay, so seventeen in total. Presumably they all went through the same the same thing as her, judging by their confused expressions. The classroom looked normal enough. No visible traps but that was unlikely anyway. The door was probably locked but the windows looked like a possible escape should it be needed.
For now, Taya decided to just see how things played out. This looked like an interesting murder attempt so it could be fun.
Some of the others seemed to be talking but she ignored them. She flipped the light switch but nothing happened. She ran her finger up the wall and knocked gently. Okay, so the walls were fake. Checking out the window would be the best thing to do.
from what she could see out the window, they appeared to be by a lake or something similar. Judging by the size of the waves, it was more likely to be the sea of the ocean. Looking around the room, there was a small gap in the ceiling, presumably that was how it was constructed.
She was awakened from her trance when she heard some of the other people tell out in surprise. At the front of the room stood a bunny thing. Usami, it called itself. Taya turned back to the window.
Judging by the heat of the window, they weren't anywhere near Hope Peak. They had to be in a hotter climate, somewhere more tropical. They probably weren't in Japan anymore.
So whoever did this knows what drugs to use to keep us knocked out for a long time or maybe they erased our memories of the journey to hide our location.
The walls of the room collapsed and they found themselves stood in the middle of a beach. Looking around confirmed her theories. They were on a tropical island.
