CHAPTER 06
I felt like jumping onto Melanie and hitting her in the face with a shoe.
No, with a bat.
Bats hurt more.
There was silence in the room for a good two and a half minutes. No one really knew what to say. Seth kept glaring at Xavier. Xavier looked like he was about to pee his pants. Calvin looked shocked. I was speechless and ready to kill. And Melanie probably felt powerful. For once all of the attention was on her. I've always felt like she was an attention whore. I can't even believe I considered her my friend.
"You disgust me," I spat, sending a death glare towards Melanie. "You're a fucking slut."
She laughed, "Oh, honey, don't be jealous that I can actually get laid from a hot guy."
"I'm happy I didn't lose my virginity to him. He's a fucking pig. And the both of you are pathetic." I was about to turn around and leave the room until Seth grabbed my hand and made my stop.
"Aren't you a lesbian?" Seth blurted, making Xavier turn towards Melanie with a confused face. Looks like he didn't know that Melanie was a lesbian.
"Nope," she grinned. "I told you I'm lesbian so I could easily flirt with you and maybe start dating you. Then I realized that fucking loser came into your life and I was furious. So I had to destroy her somehow, hence why I've been sleeping with her boyfriend for the past two months. She was too naïve to understand that. She's a fucking loser." Melanie laughed again.
"You know what," I stepped forward, making Melanie back away a little bit as if she was afraid of me. "There's a place for people like you and that's on the corner of the street where you can spread your legs for homeless people. Goodbye, slut."
This time I grabbed both Seth's and Calvin's hands and we walked out of the apartment. I didn't feel like packing my clothes right now. I knew Xavier would be gone later tonight so I can come back and pack my things then. I didn't know where I was supposed to stay for now but I wasn't planning to spend my life with Xavier.
We got to the street and I let go of them both. I stood completely still and let a few tears escape from m eyes. I didn't know if I was sad because I broke up with Xavier or because he cheated on me. It was probably because of both. Before I knew it, my tears were freely flowing down my cheeks and I couldn't control it anymore.
"Don't cry, princess, " Seth whispered, smoothing my hair. "He's not worth your tears. Let's go back to my apartment and we'll get you cleaned up and I'll give you some spare clothes, alright?"
"Alright."
Maybe Seth and I still have a chance of being together.
Maybe everything will go back to the way it used to be.
We got to his apartment, which was a short trip away from Xavier's place, and we walked inside. It was a typical apartment, nothing special. Seth led me to the bathroom while Calvin sat down on the couch and started watching TV. Seth grabbed a paper towel and made it wet. After that, he attempted to wipe away my tears and the mascara streaks, which were on my cheeks. As he was doing that, we kept staring at each other. It was as if we were trying to read each other's minds and find out what the other person is thinking.
"Ellie," Seth suddenly said, "would you be okay with us dating again in the future?" He asked. I felt my heart picking up speed and soon enough, it was thumping against my chest really loudly and quickly. I was positive Seth could even hear it.
