Nova sat against her dax upholstered headboard attempting to read Uncle Tom's Cabin, but she couldn't focus thinking about Ace.

Before he departed for Latvia, Ace took her to the beach where they had an frolicsome picnic. For the first time in many months Nova wasn't afraid to let her guard down to another male.

As Nova refocus on her book she heard footsteps by her bedroom door, then she seen her doorknob twisting open. "Hey gorgeous." Deonte stated before walking over to her pecking her lips.

Nova looked around before pointing at herself, "Your talking to me?" She was totally bemuse by his actions. "Yes, I'm talkin' to you silly." He playfully chuckled as he sat on the bed next to her.

He slowly grabbed her hands while looking into her enormous elegant brown eyes. "Look, baby I want to say sorry for all da shit I put you though and for being an asshole. I wanna be the man that you fell in love with when you were 16, I know I not easy to deal with but I promise you I'm tryin'. I also had to come to the understandin' that if your not ready for a child then I want push it nomo. All I'm askin' for is yo' forgiveness."

Deonte gave her a little pathetic apology that Kalista wrote for him earlier in the day, "So do you forgive me baby?" He anticipated on her answer .

Nova was more than content with the new Deonte, she been missing the old him for a very long time and now he's finally back. "You hurt me a lot Dee, but I'm willing to forgive you and start over." She wrapped her arms around his neck while crying on his shoulder as he smirked.

"How is the recruiting going?" Nana asked Ace as they drove to the house they would be staying at for there annual family vacation.

"Great, we have narrowed it to 20 men up to this point." He stated with his eyes still on the road, but Nana knew he wasn't just working on that project down there it was more to the story.

"Save your breath and tell your Nana about everything, I see a certain effulgent in your eyes son." She slightly smiled at her grandson who began grinning from ear to ear.

"Mm you can?" He tried avoiding this question but she knew him all too well, "Ace Aloysius Sykes you better let up and tell your fabulous Nana what's going on with you." She sternly stated with a smile. "Okay, I'm interested in a young lady." He truthfully told her.

"But I wanna take it one day at a time, she been through a lot and it hard for her to trust." He said taking a glimpse at his grandmother. "Well I cant wait to meet her baby." She smiled at him grabbing his hand as he continued to drive.
