trigger warnings: murder

Lili's POV
"Let me go!" I shrieked with all my might.

"Lili, calm down. We're healing you. Now, we're going to count down from 5, then your surgery will start. Ready? 5... 4... 3... 2..."

The world went blurry and slowly faded to black.

3rd person POV

The man stood over the blonde figure in a dimly lit room. He put what looked like a chisel to the lines made all along her head, not too far from her hairline. He grabbed a hammer, ready to crack her skull. Taking a deep breath, he brought the hammer back. Upon hitting the chisel, a sickening crack was heard, which could only mean one thing: he shattered her skull. Perfect. Everything was going according to plan.

Until it wasn't.

A few hits later, she opened her eyes. In place of her usual sparkling green eyes, all you could see was a dark void. Everyone in the operating room looked taken aback. She wasn't supposed to wake up; not now, not ever. An evil, inhuman grin spread across her lips.

"Time to die."

She ran out of there feeling different. One thing's for sure, this isn't the same Lili that was admitted into The Farm. She wasn't quite alive, but she wasn't quite dead either. There was only one thing on her mind: murder. To her, it had become some sick game. The last time anyone saw her, she had burst through the doors, slipping between the trees, ready to kill anyone in sight.

Her name appeared all over the news in record time. Word of her disappearance hit the streets fairly quickly: LILI REINHART ESCAPED THE FARM TODAY AT 10 AM. BE CAREFUL AND STAY INSIDE. IF YOU SEE ANYTHING, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.

A chilling smile still plastered on her face, eyes devoid of emotion, she made her way out of the forest and into the city. Running faster than any normal person can, she quickly found her way. She may have turned into a cold-blooded killer, but she was still clever. Opting to wait until nightfall to strike the city that never sleeps, she spent the rest of the day lurking in the shadows and planning her next moves.

Sunset finally came and in no time it was dark. She slipped between the shadows, staying exceptionally well hidden. Struck with an idea, she made her way to where she knew her first victim would be. Slowly and silently, she crept into the man's house.

"Hey baby."

"Lils? W-what happened?" He stammered, a mixture of shock and fear painting his features.

"Time to die."

Quick and easy, the sweetheart-turned-monster ended his life: slashed throat, multiple stab wounds. By the next morning, it would make the headlines in the New York Times.

"BREAKING NEWS: COLE SPROUSE FOUND DEAD INSIDE HIS HOME, AUTHORITIES SUSPECT LILI REINHART."

Over the next few weeks, terror and chaos reigned throughout the entire city. Most people were too scared to go outside. Even then, they would sleep with one eye open at night. During that time, Lili claimed a few more lives. Namely KJ Apa, Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch. A few minutes before their death, all 3 received a strange text. Simply a picture of Lili's new appearance with a few disturbing emojis at the bottom. All were found grotesquely mutilated in their homes. The police found a pattern to all of this; she'd kill those she was closest to before everything went wrong. Her next suspected victim was Casey Cott. That night, authorities were stationed in and around his house, ready to catch her.

In her usual fashion, Lili sent the text right before entering the house. This time, everyone was in position, ready to catch her. In a matter of seconds, she found herself surrounded and handcuffed. She let out blood-curdling scream while kicking and thrashing as they brought her over to the sisters of Quiet Mercy. From there, she was sedated and sent to a maximum security prison in solitary confinement. The world was safe, but as soon as she finds a way out, not only her closest friends will suffer the consequences... black eyes shining with malice, lips still curled in that chilling sneer, she whispered one final thing before they slammed the door behind her:

"Until next time."

THE END

A/n
This is quite different from what I usually write about, but I absolutely had to write this. It's based on two aus/edits by the lovely @topichartl_ on Instagram (they're on her old account @topichartl_old) so all credit goes to her. I thought I'd bring it to a story, as well as another platform. Obviously this oneshot doesn't do the edits justice, so you should go check them out. She's extremely talented and you should follow her as well-trust me, you won't regret it 😉 Also I worked really hard on those photos  oof 😅
