This decision would determine everything.
My eyes narrowed as I peered through the glass. The repetitive question ringing through my mind as the suspense slowly gnawed at me. My fists clenching and unclenching.

What option would I choose:

strawberry or chocolate ice cream.

I'd always struggled with flavours since there were always so many options so, instead I went for the easiest.
I pointed to the two flavours trying to ask in the most obvious way for both flavours.
This proved as a most difficult task providing, of course, the language barrier between Italians and the English. I just had the urge to call the English, Britalians so it sounded better. Ew! How my sister would cringe if she could read my mind. She'd call me especially daft if she saw the way I was pointing and miming at the ice creams trying to get the woman to understand what I wanted. I could've sworn she looked frightened.

I grab the cone of the woman adding a grazie
(Thanks) in Italian and a huge smile because this wonderful, lovely woman had just give me food and I loooovveeeee food. In return I got an awkward, uncomfortable smile but I guess I deserve that after humiliating myself in front of her.
Oh well it's not like I'll ever see her again.

"Anthea hurry xael's waiting in the van. We need to leave before we miss our flight."

Xael is my eldest sister, Aurora's, husband. He'd come to drop us of to the airport in his van. Me and my other sister (I have two sisters by the way) Ivana, we came to Italy as a holiday and to meet Aurora since she'd been staying in Italy every since she got married at the beginning of this year.

You could tell it was Ivanas first time travelling 'alone' as she likes to say because she thinks I'm like travelling with a child, even though I'm 17. Her stress levels peak and she gets all sweaty and nervous. She's doing it again right now just like she did when we were arriving in italy. Its quite hilarious to watch. I could have a shower from all that sweat.
Okay that was a nasty thing to think about.

"Ivana calm down," I say "Xael's in the van waiting in the parking lot. We only stopped for ice cream on the way because we've got forty minutes left until we reach the airport , and even then we'll still be more than an hour early. Just Relaxxxx."

That seemed to sooth her. She nodded gratefully and ordered her own chocolate ice cream since she's a fanatic for chocolate, and we headed towards the car. Xael, upon noticing us, gave a wave and reached over from the drivers seat to fling open the passenger seat.
"You know we could've opened the door ourselves." I say giving a pointed look.
"Come on Anthea you've got sacred ice cream in your hands, we can't have any risks of you dropping it now can we?" Xael said smirking.

"Ah I see now. Your mocking me since I said that in Venice. Smart." Giving him a glare I pass him the ice cream to hold and Ivana gets in behind me. The three seater van meant Aurora couldn't come to drop us but it's okay she's coming home in a few weeks anyway.

"Are you sure you won't have any ice cream Xael?" said Ivana.
"10000%. Your sister would kill me if she found out I had any more sugar today. She says and I quote 'your putting on too much weight at this rate you'll get diabetes.' I cringe just thinking about her saying that." Xael shuddered.
Ivana snorted
"that's definitely our sister." I gasped between  fitfulls of laughters. But then again I couldn't blame Aurora just yesterday Xael finish an extra large tub of Nutella with only a spoon ahhhh if only I could do that.

Xael Chuckled whilst reversing the car out of its parking spot and onto the main road.
Luckily our flight was at night and it was currently 6:50 pm  meaning we'd get to watch the sunset. I absolutely adore the sky every shade and colour so unique with their own individuality. I mean Gods truly a genius to have come up with something so beautiful and extraordinary. It takes my breath away at every glance.

After 20 minutes of gossiping with Xael and Ivana about our previous adventures , whilst me and Ivana were at our one week holiday, we grew quiet. Sleep lulling Ivana and the road occupying Xael.
This was the perfect opportunity to slip on my beloved headphones and watch as the sun slowly sets. Its mesmerising how the clouds all brighten around the setting sun as it gradually lowers itself. Leaving the world to rest.
My sunset playlist fits the mood perfectly, and yes of course I have a sunset playlist. I mean I can't be listening to upbeat music when the serenity of the sun is before me.

The song lookalike by Conan gray plays. The melody setting me into a peaceful watch as I look before me to the sky so beautiful.
But then the most peculiar thing settles as the van takes a turn, causing a slight shift to the clouds above.

I notice jutting, just before the road in my direct line of view lays a horizontal long cloud. The setting sun leaving a canvas  of yellow bleeding into orange just behind it. This cloud.
My initial thoughts lead me to believe it some sort of bridge. The precision and straightness, the dimensions it just left me speechless and looked totally unnatural. I wanted to keep this 'bridge' with me as a parting note from Italy so I pulled out my camera and took a picture. The picture did it no justice yet it was a reminder of the beauty and the instincts that came with it. My imagination ran wild as I conjured the most ridiculous fantasies for what that clouds true nature may be but I guess that's just me. To others it's an ordinary cloud but I'd like to keep it closer than that. It may have no meaning to others but I guess everyone's different in their  own ways.

Yes I know I can be extremely sentimental but unfortunately that's just me.
