The zombies rise

Chapter 2

The car stopped and someone got out. "Sam I know your there" there was a boys voice probably the same age as Sam. I looked at him and he was just staring at the dirt then he got up and looked at the brown haired boy. I got up and grabbed the bag of guns and stayed quiet. "hey Sam how are you? who is this beautiful girl your with?" he started walking towards me. "Steve don't touch her." sam stepped in front of me and Steve and glared at him. "fine Sam whatever just get in the truck so we can go to a safe place we found" he said calmly. Sam got in the back of the truck and I got in next to him and put my head on his shoulder and went to sleep.

TIME SKIP~~~~~

"Hey Alex wake up" I heard a soft voice say and was gently shaking me to wake up. I opened my eyes to see Sam and he smiled at me. "we are here at the safe place Steve told us about" he helped me out of the truck and was hugged by some friends. I just looked at them and sighed 'I hope my friends are ok...well at least Emma' I thought and looked around "ALEX!" I heard a younger girl yell and ran at me. I smiled and hugged her "hi Emma I'm so happy to see you" I said while I cryed "I'm happy your ok Alex" Emma cryed into my shoulder. I patted her back and she let go of me I looked at her and smiled. her smile faded away "where is flora?" she asked her big blue eyes with tears in them. I looked down not knowing what to say "I'm sorry Emma but she died I had to kill her so she couldn't hurt anyone" Sam said putting his hand on my shoulder and took the bag of guns and walked to a tent. I watched Emma start to cry. her black hair getting in her face I sighed and hugged her "I'm sorry Emma" I whisperd in her ear. Emma shook her head and wiped her tears "ill show you were you will be sleeping for the nights that we are here" she said calmly showing me where my tent was. I walked to my tent and opend it seeing Sam I went bright red as he put the bag if guns down and turned around to look at me then smiled. There were two cots in the ground and he took the one on the left I went to my cot and in folded the blanket. it was purple with a wolf on it howling at the moon 'really Emma? you know I'm not a very big fan of wolves so why this why not like a plain purple blanket or one with a snow fox on it?' I thought "is something wrong Alex?" I heard Sam ask snapping me out of my thought "oh yeah everything is fine" I smiled at him and put the blanket down on the bed. once I knew Sam was gone I fell to my knees crying. after a while I left the tent and joined everyone around a fire to eat. I sat next to Emma and ate my potatoes with corn and fish. once I was done I sat looking at the fire for awhile then got up and went to my tent and went to sleep on my cot. the next day I woke and rubbed my eyes so I washer awake "oh so everything about yesterday wasn't a dream" I said calmly "so I really did lose my parents?" I mumbled and let out some tears but it hurt to cry since I was crying in my sleep. I wiped the tears away and got up and walked out of my tent "Alex! come here" I looked over to see Emma I pulled me into the rev and gave me some cloths to change into since I didn't have any and all I had was my school uniform. I went into the tiny bathroom and changes I came out and had on blue jeans with rips on the knees a baggy blue shirt with spiderman on it "if he was real then he could have saved my friends and parents" I sighed and walked out and tied the black hitops Emma gave me I stood up and stretched "Alex? can you help me catch some fish?" I looked over at steve and nodded "sure ill help" I smiled sweetly at him and we went to to water and got in a boat. I was waiting for a fish to bite and felt a little awkward "Alex I know you like him" Steve said watching her. "what? what are you talking about?" I asked looking at him like he was going crazy "Sam I know you like him....you should tell him I know he would want some good news after finding out his parents died so he is doing everything in his power to keep you safe" he sent his line out and waited "but.....I'm afraid but if you want him to know then go ahead tell him I don't care" I sighed giving up on trying to make him think he was crazy. after the fishing I brought the bucket of fish to Emma and she took it from me. I heard a scream and ran towards it and saw a little girl screaming staring at a zombie eating a deer that had bullet holes it's thigh I picked up a stick as the zombie looked at me and walked towards me I took steps back then I fell and got up quickly and stabbed it in the head witch killed it. I was so sated I was panting."alex? are you ok?" Sam asked walking up to me "stab it in the head. it's kills these zombies" I looked at him then at the deer. I walked away back to camp and helped with the laundry. after that was done it was time for dinner but I was done at the lake looking at the moon's reflection in the water I sighed and heard footsteps coming closer. I grabbed the knife I put in my pocket and forgot about "its ok Alex It's just me" Sam said walking up next to me. I let go of the knife. "it's beautiful out here. I would love it more if the world wasn't ending" I sighed then felt a hand pull me closer then pulled my head to face him I looked at Sam his face getting closer and closer then he kissed me.
