CHAPTER-7

The next day

I woke up with Zuri right in my arms. I never imagined myself to be in this position.

I got my phone and seen that it was like 11. Simba texted me asking if we were okay. We haven't really been together since Zuri came but I don't mind it's not like we together.

I slipped from under Zuri making sure I didn't wake her up. I went to go take a shower and get dressed for the day. Simba invited me to a networking party but that's not until tonight.

I was in the middle of my shower listening to Kehlani. I heard Zuri screaming my name, I wrapped my towel around me hurrying to her. She was crying and breathing really hard.

"What's wrong Zuri?" I rubbed her back as she basically jumped into my arms

"I want my daddy" was all she said

"What happened?" I asked her

"I want my daddy" she kept repeated

"Okay imma call him" I told her. I tried calling him but he didn't answer. So I just texted him.

It took me like 45 minutes to completely calm Zuri down. I gave her a bath and got her ready for the day.

"You okay Zuri?" I asked fixing her hair. She didn't respond she just looked at me

I decided to text Simba again and I seen that he read my last message. Now he playing with me.

I got all her stuff together and took it upon myself to just take her home myself. It was like a 5 minute drive because he doesn't live that far from Raven. When I pulled up I seen his car in the driveway.

We walked up to the door and just I was about to knock, the door opened and some random girl walked out, not even acknowledging me. I walked in and seen Simba in some basketball shorts.

"This the business you had to take care of?" I laughed to myself

He looked at me shocked " Wait Dymond it's not even like that" he tried to explain

I sat her bag on the couch " See you later Zuri" I hugged her

"Dymond stop" he grabbed my wrist

"DO NOT! Do not touch me Simba. I don't want you to call or text me unless it has anything to do with Zuri. I hope you had a nice time." I walked to my car speeding off

This is exactly why I didn't want to get close with his ass. Once I got home I walked in mad as hell.

"What's wrong with you?" Raven asked coming down the stairs

I busted out crying in the couch "Bro we not even together and I feel like I just got cheated on" I wiped my tears

"Simba?" She shook her head

"Like he so dumb Raven. I helped him with his fucking daughter and this the shit I get?" I cried harder

"You should've expected that Dymond" she rubbed my back

"Y'all left the door op-" Kyree came in causing me to quickly wipe my tears

"What he do?" She asked seriously

"No it's fine Kyree I'm good" I told her

She walked out the door most likely going to Simba house.

I was took back by his question. I didn't even know he was back. I decided to just talk about it when I see him.
