A long explanation followed, starting from the very beginning. "I didn't want to tell you this before because if you found this to be normal and you told your friends, they wouldn't believe you anymore. They would question your state of mind. I didn't want that, hence I hid this away from you. But now you have come of age and Dad believes that you would understand. Okay, sweetie?" Mom told him quietly, her voice begging for him to understand. As weird and absurd as it was, Bobbi had no problem taking everything in. His father, an apparition, along with his best friend, The Lunatic, residing in this room that he was ever-so curious about.

A grin splayed on Bobbi's face, and he looked at his mother in the eye. "Okay, Mom. Thank you for doing what you thought was best for me. And," , he turned to The Apparition, "I'm glad that you still vouched to come to see me. I love you, Dad." The Apparition smiled warmly, lovingly patting his son's head.

"Are you a fart? Cause' you blew me away!" The Lunatic screeched, sending himself into a disoriented-laughing heap on the floor.

The happy family laughed aloud and Bobbi was finally at ease that he had learnt about the secret room. But most importantly, his heart has finally been put to rest, now knowing about the father he had always wanted to know. It took time for his soul to reemerge, to seek the sunlight instead of the shade, but there is no other way - patient love, time, welcoming the bond that develops, keeping it steady and real.
