Chapter 3 ~ Cats

†Saturday†

*3rd person POV*
You woke up your face hot due to the sunlight shining on it through the window.You did a long stretch before rolling out of bed.
You got off the floor and went to the bathroom and combed your hair brushed your teeth etc.

"Ughhh I hate mornings" you groaned as you trudged down the stairs into the kitchen.

You poured food for your cat (Psychedelic Dreams but you call him Sy for short) Then made cereal and watched as your cat ate the last of his food.

'Welp I guess I'm gonna have to buy more'

You finished your cereal and went upstairs. You put on a (f/c) shirt and some black jeans then went downstairs and slipped on some shoes.

"I'm going to the store I'll be back later" you told your cat as you walked out the door. He purred and got on the couch,clearly pleased to have the house to himself.

You walked down the street to the cat store (like a pet store but only has stuff for cats and sells cats).You needed food and wanted to buy Sy a new scratching post.

As you walked into the store you quickly switched priorities once a couple of newborn kittens in a cage caught your eye. You went over and stroked one of them softly on the back.

'They're so adorable'

A person then came and stood beside you. They reached out and began to gently pet one of the kittens head.

'Oof. Well this got awkward'

Now you weren't usually the type to be nosy but...........you were nosy. You glanced at the person beside you out the corner of your eye to see it was none other than Shinso.

'Im not really a fan of this situation so I'ma just...........Yeet

...

.......

............

WELL FUCK!!'

So I'ma just explain what happened real quick. So basically, right when you went "Yeet" Shinso went "Skeet" and tripped you. On purpose. So yeah. Back to the story.

*(Y/N)'s POV*
Yeet unsuccessful. Ended up on floor.

"Why run?" I heard a taunting voice say from above me

.....

'The hell?'

*3rd Person POV*
You were confused and started to panic. Not knowing what to do you lied there, pretending to be dead.This situation was not it. You were over it.
"(Y/N), are you alright?" Shinso asked you. You lied there not answering. You heard him walk away from you, then heard the faint sound of a cage rattling and then heard footsteps approach you once more.

*(Y/N)'s POV*
As I lied on the floor eyes closed, deceased, I felt soft, paws? touch my face.

'Huh?'

I opened my eyes to see Shinso holding one of the kittens on my cheek.
"Oh so you are alive" he remarked sarcastically.
I sighed as I sat up, and got up from the floor as Shinso followed. I walked to the other side of the store and grabbed the cat food that Sy likes.

"Why'd you try to run from me?" Shinso asked.
"I didn't. I just thought I lost my keys" I replied calmly. He looked at me, clearly not believing my story.
"Why'd you stop me?" I tried to change the subject.
"I was just surprised that you ran" he stated.
"I try to avoid awkward situations" I said walking in the direction of the scratching post.
"You shouldn't run from your problems" Hitoshi advised.
"Good advice I'll remember that" I said.

Looking through the scratching post I realized that I wouldn't be able to carry one by myself.

'I guess I'll have to get my parents to buy one'

I looked at Shinso,
"Why are you here?" I questioned.
"To buy stuff for my cat, is it not obvious?
"So why interact with me?"
"You interest me" he stated.
I suddenly got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.
"Can I get your phone number?"I blurted out.
"Huh?" He asked shocked at my sudden aggression.
"Oh..um......I mean, I might need to contact you about the sleepover" I tried to make an excuse.
"Ok sure" he said taking my phone that I was holding out for him.

He gave me my phone back, I checked and saw the new contact.
"How do I interest you?" I asked walking to the cash register.
"Well to be specific, your quirk, and how you're so secretive about it." he stated. You gulped as you payed for the cat food.

*3rd Person POV*
You now understood why you had that bad feeling. You are very careful of your quirk, you don't want anyone to know how it works because you fear it would be too easy to avoid, rendering you useless. You knew where Shinso was going and were relived that you were prepared.

"What about my quirk" you asked cautiously.
"How exactly does it work?" he questioned.
You were too scared to answer, to tell him it was a secret, you were afraid he'd brainwash you to tell him.

You took out your phone and started to head towards the exit, texting him

(Y/N):I can't tell you
                       Read 4:12p.m
Shinso:Why not?
                    Read 4:13p.m
(Y/N):It's a secret
                    Read 4:14p.m

"Hey, (Y/N)" Shinso called after you as you walked out the door

(Y/N):See you at school on Monday
                                                 Sent 4:17p.m

With that you went home.
